I don't even want a real wedding but man I love flipping through those stupid catalogs and going "oh, I want that cake," and "oooo, my dress..."

At my age this is ridiculous and I don't care.

I'm going to a wedding this weekend and it's got me all in a tizzy. My bf would poop a brick if he knew but it's really got nothing to do with him.

Ring:
I've had my eye on this gaudy piece of doodoo for years but I want the Yello Legacy. It's not on the site anymore though.


Dress:
I don't really want to wear white. I was thinking something yellow or lavender

Location:
Where ever the hubster is from.

Flowers:
lavender and peonies and hydrangea




Cake:
I don't think anyone will appreciate the taste of a vegan wedding cake.

I do it sometimes.
In my head, I sometimes imagine a really extravagant wedding (it's the little girl in me), but in reality, I want a really simple one.
Just a small one with fifty or so of our closest friends and family in a beautiful little backyard setup. I want to bake my own cake, rent out a dress (who the hell needs to buy an expensive dress that you'll only wear once?), etc. etc.
With all the money saved from the wedding, I'd much rather invest in a mind-blowing honeymoon and towards our first house.

I want a small wedding that's tasteful, elegant, and expensive with just immediate family and close friends. Like... have a wedding abroad such as to a tropical island or a castle in France.

Or just a fun, casual wedding with a whole bunch of people with family members i meet when there's a wedding or a death in the family and friends who aren't really my friends. Hahaha. More wedding presents, more booze, more people, the more merrier. Hmm.. can't decide between the two.

i've kinda thought about it a couple times and discussed it with my friends. i definitely thought about how i'd have to set some money aside for a future wedding after prom came and emptied out my wallet. it'd be really romantic to have it at the beach, but it's just not practical because i get headaches from all the wind and it probably wouldn't be the greatest thing to have sand in food. probably. a garden sounds good though because i'm buddhist and iffy about going to churches. i'd definitely want a super pretty white gown, but it's too soon to decide between poofy or flowy. ahhh! this gets me all excited and giddy. haha. i'm gonna have so much fun when i get married. hopefully it won't be too stressful.

That's why I won't be able to have a wedding w/o wearing it. It's kinda funny thinking how the groom even changes in my daydreams but the veil sticks.

Only thing I know is.. I will be having a white/light-pink wedding! Teehee. My bouquet will be peony flowers and my dress will be off-white... thinking a very light pastel pink.. IDK. I like to be.. a bit different from just white.. ^^; And I also want a semi-long train on my dress.. NOT on my veil.. (:

i want a custom made dress. i want a dress with like cap sleeves (those cute, tiny sleeves). i dont like how most people opt for a strapless dress.

and...i dont want a big ring. i have small fingers and i think big rings are ugly. and i hate wearing jewelry..i think it would take me forever to get used to a ring on my finger. i want a simple, not too expensive, small diamond.

Just the other day, my friend and I were looking through the window of this book store while we were waiting for the bus and we were staring at the wedding magazines lined up near the window. rofl.
I think my dress would have to be quite simple and flowy near the bottom. Nothing too fancy hahahaha. OHH and the place! I always wanted it outside like in a really nice garden lined with white flowers (lilies!) near the sea. And of course, the perfect groom! LOL. That's the most important part, of course

Haha I am actually engaged *point to sig*, but wedding preparations have been pretty much non-existent, I honestly dont think we will be married for another few years...were just too unsettled ATM, once a clear plan is set then we will start the wedding planning. I am saving for it now though!

My ring:

It's simple and beautiful and I love it!!!

There are a few things we know we want (well, that I want...)

Location: beach






That's pretty much what I want it to look like. it's such a pleasing, soothing color pallet and I love how it is RUSTIC inspired and now "Hawaiian" I do not want a Hawaiian themed wedding, those are gorgeous just not me...Ideally, I want the location to be on an east coast beach, say Maine or the Carolina areas? But our family and friends all live around Ohio....*sigh*

We are thinking about renting a beach side cottage (doesnt have to be an ocean, anywhere around the great lakes will do nicely!) that has a private beach. I dont want to have to worry about spectators and such like you would find at a public beach. It sounds pricey, but considering it would be my ceremony site as well as reception area, it really evens out to be similar priced.

The dress:

I dont have a specific idea but I tend to like sheath dresses, with flowing layers and delicate embroidery - and I really really REALLY like Vera Wang lol. I want something whimsical and delicate and romantic...something with movement! I really am not the type of gal that wants a traditional wedding dres...and I dont want it to be white, something more of a cream or off-white color.









Flowers:
Something a bit more rustic, perhaps like this?




Cake:
I really really want an angel food cake wedding cake lol! But I don't know how possible that will be....its a really light cake! Gosh....but I really want it....it's my fiance's and I favorite cake! Except for tiramisu, maybe I will have a tiramisu cake lol.
