Did you all know that they are making a TV show that is inspired by the movie, starting July 7 on ABC Family? Do you think you'll watch? I'm going to - I'm a sucker for comedies set in high school...it's a really great and awkward time of life, especially because of all the crushes, first kisses, first dates, etc.!!! Not to mention the fact that I am obsessed with the movie version. Anyway, from the looks of it, I think I'm gonna like it!

i loved the movie, but the cast of the tv series isn't really appealing to me. isn't the one that plays kat the girl from ned de-classified (or something like that)... that nick show?

Ever since I heard they were making a TV show version of the movie, it had me going NOOO.
It still does, actually, and yeah... like what the person above me said, the cast doesn't really look all that appealing as compared to the other one.
Idk. Hopefully, the tv show is good. Other than that, I'll be watching and seeing how it'll be.

Actually, the young cast is new, but the guy who played the dad in the movie (Larry Miller) is back! If you recall, his character was one of the funniest - remember when he made them wear the pregnancy suit around before they went on a date? LOL! I think the new Kat looks cool, and sarcastic characters are always my favorite. Plus, the new Patrick Verona is hotttt!

The older sister is the girl from Ned's Declassified. The younger sister is Tess from Camp Rock.
And the guy that likes the younger sister is from Minutemen haha.
The head cheerleader I think is the girl that plays violin from Raise Your Voice.
Interesting..but the part where Kat hit the head cheerleader's car was kinda funny from the commercials.

Definitely want to see how it goes. I loved the movie, but a series based on it would be a bit strange. Still excited about it though.

It sounds like the series might be good, as long as I don't compare it much to the original movie. I just don't see how they will go about making a simple plot stretch into a tv series.

I watched it on iTunes yesterday (like I mentioned before) and it was SO good! I think the cast is really strong, and you're right Euphorie, the kid who plays Cameron was in Princess Protection Program! He was actually my favorite character on 10 Things - kind of geeky cute and awkwardly funny. It was so cool to see the dad back to his old antics, too! I love him. Did anyone else watch for free?

downloaded it off itunes. it was pretty good.
Kat had a good lines imo. She wasnt as "homg the world fricken sucks" as Kat in the movie so I liked that better.
Can't wait for the new episodes.

I know! I'm happy that she didn't try to copy the way Julia Stiles played Kat...she really made it her own. I think Lindsey Shaw (the actress who plays Kat) is so pretty, and she is very funny - she's already been in two sitcoms previously (Ned's and Aliens in America). I also can't wait for more episodes
