Oh.. i thought MP3 are ok too.. So that mean when i want to listen to the music on an i phone i can't use MP3 format?

JiiiaXin you can play in mp3 format if just listening to songs.. but you can't use it for ringtones.. haha.

In iTunes, right click on the track you want to use for your ringtone, then make an AAC version of it.

my itunes doesnt have a ringtone folder :S or when i right click the aac formatted song, nothing about ringtones comes up lol

on my computer once i'd created the aac file, the ringtone thing just appeared

I think it creates a folder named 'itunes' within your main music directory. So it'd look something like .../music/itunes/xxxxx/xxxxx.aac

i thought the format was M4R.
- that's what mine is.
i make my own 40 second ring tones via audacity.
then just change the format from M4A to M4R,
and drag and drop into itunes,
itunes automatically puts it into your 'ringtones' folder.

use a u d i k o . n e t to create and dl the correct format.
