I Can't Turn Off The Laptop please help me~

OMG!~
please help me~
i can't turn off or stand by the laptop..
i don't know why..
please sum1 help me..i also can't restart,
i only press the button to off that laptop.
i'm using acer aspire 4715z..

happened to me a few times...i unplug the power and take out the battery o.o

tried holding down the power button for like 10 seconds? or just unplug like what sillyyjenn said

run it in safemode then scandisk for errors .. also scan your pc with antivirus & spyware program .. if it still fails do a system restore to a previous date where your pc runs smoothly

huh you took out the battery and it's still working?

it's prolly a program that hanged and your system cant close it because it's too slow or smth like this. or prolly a virus. download avg antivirus. go into safemode (f8 when boot, scan your computer then restart)

Not every anti-virus would do the job perfectly. Humans ourselves could, if we know what to exactly do. Anti-malware tools are there to ease our tasks though.

Get:

Install, update it and then quick scan.
I don't need the log.

By then, get:
http://download.cnet.com/Trend-Micro-Hijac...4-10227353.html
Scan it with log file and copy paste - send it to me.
I'll have a look at what could be wrong.
