Hp Laptop Battery Question !> 26 % plugged in not charging...

I think my battery died cuz well my laptop is on like 24/7 so i plug it in an outlet to use for nao !! its really hot like so ht u could burn your self near the battery if i keep continue using it like this what will happen :/???

i've had some battery issues with my hp laptop. and when i called the guy and asked he told me:
if you have your laptop plugged into an outlet, make sure you take out your battery first! and only plug in your battery when you need to use it, or if you need to recharge it.
hp batteries can only be recharged to "100%" a certain amount of times before they need to be replaced, chances are, since you've had your laptop plugged in for a long amount of time, the battery might be gone-zo!

That's not true
You just don't want to drain it all the time because it decreases battery life.
Most batteries know when to stop charging and will not overcharge.

With that said, you posted this in the wrong section.

And you should check to see if your battery is on the recall list because it sounds like it is overheating and when they completely overheat it will burst into flames and explode. smile.gif
