Hey soompi users! This is my first time posting a topic so hopefully this one hasn't been done before (I did a search and nothing came up). I was going to post this in the relationships thread, but I guess this can apply to kids you don't know as well. If I'm wrong then sorry

Today, I was babysitting a little boy. I opened up a new bottle of bubbles and it was all goopy and gross so I said "Eww!". The boy then asks, "What's "ew" mean?". I replied with, "Something gross and yucky". Then he pointed at my face and say "Ew! Ew! Ewwww!". FML

I adore kids a lot. My family rolls their eyes at me when I squeal over them haha They say that I call every kid cute (which is kind of true).

I think I am good with kids - or at least I have been lucky with all the ones I worked with (ranging from kindergarten to grade threes). I grow attached to them and we get along well. I remember working with a kid once for a day and he was like, "I'm going to tell mommy to invite you to my party!" LOL

Whenever we're visiting family in California, I'm the one left with all the babies and younger kids because all my aunts, uncles, and other cousins think I'm good with kids.

Well anyway, yeah I love little kids and pretty good with them too. Only some kids make me want to kick their faces but other than that a majority of them are good . I think being good with kids is something I got from my dad cos wherever he goes little kids stick to him LOL.

My little 4 year old cousin is so funny and cute. One time my mother called for her and said "Munchkin, come here!" (something along the lines in vietnamese) and then she replies (in vietnamese) with, "My name isn't munchkin, it's Tam Nhu" ROFL. She's so adorable <3

I seriously don't know what to do with them.
They're fun to watch but not the obnoxious ones.
But my attitude has gotten better towards kids - I used to flat out hate them.
Now, not so much.

for some reason, little boy toddlers or baby boys just love me, one time i was eating at red robin with my cousins, a little baby boy just walked to my table and smiled at me lol. i went to a salon where the owner had her 1year old son there and when i got in he held out hid arms for me to pick him up, and his mom was really surprised because he's never done that.

I'm good with kids when their parents aren't around. Wow, that sounded bad. I mean, I feel I can act more stupid and be able to entertain them when I feel like I'm not being scrutinized by their parents.

No and I don't like kids really...I don't think I will either until I have some of my own. I can only handle 1 year olds and younger...any older and it's crazy.

I was a camp counsellor because I love kids. Super fun and the smart ones are always so fun to talk to and debate with (yes, I can have little debates with 7 year olds ). So yes, I love kids. I'm pretty good with kids - when I was camp counsellor volunteer, my manager used to put me into babysitting and with all the difficult kids all the time. I'm super tolerant of any stupid things they do and I feel good when I can correct their bad habits/etc....

Really mature/bitter kids sometimes don't like me because I act really bubbly around them. Sometimes they think it's over the top, but most kids really love it - and I do what gets the most kids happy. Acting bubbly and letting them play with your limbs and letting them wrestle wtih you, etc etc is always a good way to get them all physically engaged in some activity and fun...and keeps kids from getting bored and fighting amongst themselves. Sometimes, I do those camp games too (ie Mafia) or I play card games, but sometimes the attention required is just too much for little kids...heheh.

I'm also pretty good with babies...just do alot of peekaboo, funny faces and running around...and lots of funny cheesy sound effects and they get amused. They're always happy to see people's faces!

Ehh...too many stories haha...2 years of camp builds alot up... and it's too late now>.< 1:30AM. time for beD!

- I love kids. Before, I used to dislike them before because I babysat quite a lot when I was younger and they were such a pain in the butt. But after babysitting my cousin's children and becoming so close with them... I just love kids. I love the innocence in them.

Are you good with kids in general?
- I'm very good with kids. Babysitting helped quite a lot I want to be a teacher one day, if I could, too.


What are some of your traits or reasons why kids do/don't like you.
- I've never met a kid who didn't like me. My mother says it's because I still look like a kid that kids like me right away. I just think it's because I'm easy to get along and have fun with; plus, I'm really patient with children so that makes things less difficult for me to handle and whatnot. And... I don't know, haha.

- I started babysitting my cousin's baby when she was 10 months old. At first, I didn't think the baby liked me, but after spending a few hours with her, she started to like me. Whenever it was her nap time, I'd carry her until she fell asleep. Whenever I had to feed her, she was always with me, and I'd always play with her and... It just got up to the point where she would choose me over her own mother :x A few months later, she actually did start calling me "Mama" ... Whenever her mother wasn't around, I would be her mother, and... Lols, I just love that baby. A lot of people thought she was MY daughter whenever they saw me carry her. She's two years old right now, and every now and then I'd go visit her. We just have this really tight bond with each other, I guess, I don't know the word, but she and I are really close. I love it.

i've been working with kids for quite awhile
i just love it when we play tag
they could never catch me
it's not an easy task though
there are usually 20 kids running at me
they just want that 7 eleven trip
but it just never comes

I was never like this until I had to watch this one grade 4 class when I was in grade 8. They were the worst class ever! All the teachers knew that too.
Never again...

well for the older kids (5-6th graders) they look at me as if I'm annoying because I'm very energetic around kids XD Well, for the younger ones...they like me! Sort of...

I babysit my dad's friend's daughter. She's 5 and so cute! She's always very happy when she comes over to my house and only and always asks me to play with her...It's soo adorable! But she has a problem with stealing things from my house...She almost stole my sister's Nintendo DS .____.

i was at my uncle's home over the weekend.. he has 2months old son.. my uncle went out and my auntie's was cooking.. and the baby cried.. idk what to do.. i just stared at him blankly and tossed some toys at him.. lol.. idk how to babysit a baby.. i don't even hold him.. lol.. the other cousin is 4years old.. i played with her sometimes.. but sometimes she's kinda annoying since she watched cartoons all the time and i can't switch the channel..

Well when most of my cousins were little babies I would baby sit a lot and the only thing that I remember clearly.. which was pretty gross was when I was playing with one of my cousins I guess he wasn't feeling too good because he threw up all over my arm/leg.. it was gross.. haha.. ><
