"So cool, the grass in the yard had all freeze into ice~so cold."

I think it should be written as 恩 with a 口 in front( couldn't find the word).

嗯 <-- you mean that?

its just a way some mandarin speakers say (or rather a sound) to express confirmation/affirmation.
...

its like the english equivilent of "uh-huh"

Koreanwind is actually not accepting new registrations at the moment.
They usually open the registrations for one day like once a month.
It's quite hard to join ;x
How about this website?
http://www.chinese-tools.com/tools/convert...in-unicode.html

Thanks that's what I was looking for! biggrin.gif I wish there was just someway to automatically input it though without having to go through a website...
And hey you're from Boston too, awesome

Just off topic, Tamago86 are you learning Chinese now? just curious 'cause if I'm not wrong you are already fluent in japanese.

Yup, I took a class over the summer for it but didn't have time to fit it into my schedule once the semester started, so I'll be starting up again next semester =)

.........can anyone translate this? " 哇超屌`前院後院草地全結冰~冷冷的瀚"

and what does "恩" mean? my friend (he's a fob) always says that like in the sentence....恩```有``, and i have no idea what it means.

translation: 哇超屌 wow, super cool/ (fvkn awsome!) lol..just had to write it!! its a word that Jay chow always use...basiclly the usage of that word is like the usage of 'kawaii' in japanese language... just say it to wteva u think is ‘wow'

恩 its not really fob...its just everyday conversational thing that ppl adds.. it would sound like 'en' or 'ng' nd though it is not the formal way or typing it (i think someone pointed out the formal way) ppl just use it infomally... its like typing 'ok', sometimes we just type 'k'. >W<" wel i do anyways.

random phrases..
wo3 hen3 fan3 a ~ zou3 kai1 la (<--depends on the tone u looking for, if it is more firm use the 4th sound. if jokingly, 1st sound)
我 很 烦 啊~走 开 啦 im reallly annoyed/stressed. go away!

canto = 我好烦呀~行开啦 (sorri..i dunno hk spelling style.. all i kno is the first part : ngor2 hau(?)2 fan3 ar4~

heng (again, same as the sound 'la') wo3 bu4 he3 ni3 wan2 le
哼, 我 不 和 你 玩 了 heng, i'm not playing with you anymore.
canto = 哼,我唔同你玩啦 ngor2 ng3 tong3 lei2 wan2 la

wǒ bú rù dì yǜ shuí rù dì yǜ
我 不 入 地 狱 谁 入 地 狱 if i don't go to hell, who will (-,-;;dun fink u will ever need tht...buh it fits the random catagory)

bai4 tuo1
拜 托 depends on where u use it... it u asking someone to help u , u can say it so its like 'please'.. but if someone is bugging u.. u can say it also nd it wud kinda mean 'gimme a break'

wǒ fú le nǐ la
我 服 了你 啦! i cant believe u + i cant take it anymore... its like a mix. say it wen da other person done something unbelievable (negatively...)

yūn
晕 faint @_@
hàn
汗 sweat -,-;;
^used by younger generation coz of the influence of comics.... so basicly..wen u have no comment, u can say it; or wen someone does something weird and ur thinking..er..ok?

^ it doesn't really make sense. it says "my eyes finally lost your face'.. but taking a guess, i think it might say "your face finally(eventually) disappeared from my eyes (sight)"

呵呵, 我從來不看書的 blush.gif

中文學校真的一點兒屁用都沒有。我有個朋友到現在還在上中文學校, 中文超爛的 sleep.gif

龜毛 - Means picky as for example trying to be perfect in something.
你鬼扯 - Rubbish...talking crap
矜持 - acting with constraints. E.g like a girl shouldn't talk loudly in public cause it spoils the image of what a girl should be.
逞強 - act tough.

Sorry if my translation sucks.

機車 ... if u say some is that..ur saying that person is realli rediculous (i think) or the situation is just really 'ugh' lol .. i cant think of an exact translation.

it is similar to saying 'thats retarded'

撐 is slightli different in diff situations. e.g wen eating.. u can say it wen ur really full after the meal.. 撐死了

or if u say 有人幫我撐腰 (literal meaning: someone is supporting my waist) it is like saying someone has got ur back.

長 chang(2) - long
命 ming(4) - life
貴* guay(4) - expensive, valuable
富 fu(4) - fortune

*I think that's what it is, it looks like the character is written wrong... unless it's really something else, someone correct me if I'm wrong
