Are there any Cantonese dramas that have English subtitles? It would be easier for me to learn that way by watching.

There are loads if you browse Crunchyroll.. but.. a lot of them get dubbed into mando I think >_<"

Just wondering, what is the chinese equivalent of "OUCH!" , "It Hurts!" , "It is embarrassing!" and "This is bad!" ?

can someone provide the chinese characters and the romanized version of the terms?

said by a male, in a polite and impolite manner..

thanks for the help... happy.gifv

i can tell you the 'romanized' version,
but i can't type in chinese.
plus, my pinyin, the 'yin' sucks.
so just the romanizations.
not much difference for guys or girls,
this is in mandarin btw.

"OUCH!" - just a normal "ACK!" expression is fine.
"It Hurts!" - depending on what you're referring to, just "-whateverhurts- tong!" like for example, "wo de shou hen tong!" [my hand really hurts!]
"It is embarrassing!" - hao/hen diu lian ah... [the ah is just, sort of punctuating the sentence. it can be omitted.]
"This is bad!" - zhe bu hao le... [or something like that.]

there no chinese equivalent... unless u mean by expressions
like, ”啊! 好痛“(ah! hao tong) and embarrassing is “好尷尬/害羞“ (hao hai xiu / gan ga)

and it works for both gender; polite+impolite manner

我自己是香港人,從觀察所得,我覺得在中國大陸才用「國語/普通話」的(在香港我們用「普通話」),但在台灣/新加坡等有華人聚居的地方,他們傾向以「華語」代表mandarin。如果你在google查詢「華語」,會找到很多台灣、馬來西亞、新加坡等網站呢。

I'm from hong kong. from my observation, mainland chinese say it 「國語/普通話」for mandarin (in hk, we say it 普通話 as well). but for the chinese communities in taiwan or singapore and countries alike, they say it 「華語」for mandarin. if you google 「華語」, you will find loads of taiwanese, singaporean & malaysian websites.

No, 国语 is correct because 国语 is the Chinese term for Mandarin. Well, actually, the Chinese-American term for Mandarin. In China, they don't say 国语, but rather 普通话 as you've supplied already. But I felt like I had to clarify/correct the second half of your post.
P.S. I've never heard of 华语 before.
