How do you say I forgot to bring an apple. ?

And how do you type in traditional characters? (With Windows XP) Do you need to download any program?

my laptop got all language software installed but i dont used trad chi(im using vista tho), im not sure abt yours.
yup, recommend njstar too! i used that when im using winXP.

*edit*
worse come to worse is that you can direct translate the english text into trad chi by online translator, but there will be typo error

Maybe but I interpret it as "seeing the world coldly". Meaning not caring about anything in the world.

Could someone translate the following for me?

Oh, I'm sorry.
That's all right.
Yes, we study Chinese too.
No, we're Japanese.
What country are you from?

I think the first one is 哦 (or 喔),对不起。Then again, I could be wrong. =/

theres a mistake with your sentence (colored in red)last name in chinese is not xing, xing is surname. what JapaneseObesession wrote is more correct.

http://www.china.org.cn/e-learning/34/idiom.htm^theres quite a few lessons there. it will show you the story behind each idiom to help you with your understanding, but its in chinese.http://www.qi-journal.com/culture.asp?-token.SearchID=Idiomslesser idioms, but explanations in Englishhttp://www.zein.se/patrick/chinen12p.htmlyou got to d/l?found all this by googling. best recommendation, buy an idiom book, thats how i learn. or watch more TW variety shows, sleep.gif they tend to use quite a number of idioms.

我的中文老師的名字是Tseng
is My teacher's name is Tseng....which is incorrect to what saolaoane wants which is the last name.

名字 is name.

As what rainzt had wrote, Tseng is the surname which is also called last name. And "xing" is surname as in 姓。

^ yar, though 名字 is not last name directly by meaning, but normally ppl will understand that Tseng is the name of the person instead of surname when he/she says 我的中文老師的名字是Tseng.

Google 'learn chinese idioms'. There's alot out there.
That's where I found mines for my Chinese presentation ^___^

Oh crap, idioms on AP. Now I'm wondering if I should really take it or not..
