i can't tell the difference....but theres this phrase "zai na li"(Taiwan Mandarin??) and Mainland its like... "Zai na er"? something like that..... iono i could be wrong XD

its the accents.
people who are from china and speak mandarin have different accents depending on where they're from.
beijing ppl would have a different accent from ppl who are from shanghai.

ppl from TW have a different accent too.

^ Yeah, and of course, Taiwanese people use Traditional chinese whereas Mainland Chinese people use Simplified. In Mandarin, the Mandarin they speak in China is called "Guo Yu", and the Mandarin spoken in Taiwan is called "Pu Tong Hua".

cantonese writing should be the same as chinese if I'm not wrong.. so:
