Wow, I am on here quite a lot, haha.

Well, when it was the beginning of my Chinese class, my teacher was supposed to give us all Chinese names and such. I don't know if other students got their names, but I never got mine. The actual instructor gave us this websites to Chinese name generators, but I never really trusted those because they change every time you click the Go! button.

If I said my real first name was Samantha, is it possible that anyone would be able to try to give me a name? If not, it's okay, but I can't help curiosity. tongue.gif

路过你家
Passing by your home
~进来踩踩
Coming in to [literal translation]step
But it just generally means coming in to look around, see you, etc.
~愿你人气旺旺
Hoping your popularity to grow/become better.
x
路过..记得回访哦..

   *..★' 用心踩踩
Passing by, remember to visit me[not literal but its prolly what they mean]
Using my heart[literal]to step[literal, again meaning visit.]

I'm guessing this came from a blog? Normally when they visit other people's blogs, or homepages they use 踩.
EG.
Visit my page, 帮我踩一踩。

Its hard to not know where I stand in your life. Sometimes I wish that I had never met you at all, that you never existed but at the back of my mind, Im still thankful that you have.

我不知道在你生命中我算什麽,所以很難。。有時我希望我沒有認識你,你的一切我都不知,可是我還是感謝認識你。
I tried =/.. It's not very accurate and good.. My chinese isn't that great and its just hard translating some of the stuff you said directly into chinese.. hopefully it helped you in some way though smile.gif ...
OH by the way all of that was in traditional chinese.. heres the simplified chinese version:
我不知道在你生命中我算什么,所以很难。 。有时我希望我没有认识你,你的一切我都不知,可是我还是感谢认识你

对我来说,不懂得在你生命中自己占有什么位置是一件很困难的事情。有时候我真的希望我从没认识过你,也当你从没存在过。不过在我心底深处,我依然很感激你。

hmmmm.

MANDARINNN~
I speak Mandarin^^
I've noticed majority of the people speak Mandarin.
well, Canto people put like these accents and stuff on the language.
sometimes, you can understand the other.
but other times, it sounds too different, and you just can't understand.
vice versa.
yes, Chinese is a language.
I think?
I've never really thought about it.
I learned to speak as a kid,
and then as I got older,
my parents taught me out of books,
and now they're sending me to chinese school. :|

I think what your asking is which dialect should you learn? You should choose Mandarin because it is the major dialect spoken, it's also spoken in Taiwan. It's also more simple than Cantonese, Mandarin only has 4 tones.

It's also the other way around, Mandarin speakers are the ones most likely not to recognize Cantonese ...if they didn't learn both. Since Mandarin is now being taught in many schools, Cantonese speakers are more likely to recognize Mandarin.

There's also traditional and simplified writing that you can learn and then if you really want to, you can always learn Hanyu Pinyin which is the Romanization system for Mandarin.

If you want to hear a White guy speak Mandarin, here's a video:

Have you ever seen normal Taiwanese or Korean people walking around on streets? Most of them have huge noses, small chinky eyes and flat noses and look nothing like those celebrities you see in dramas. And sorry, but most Korean celebrities you see on TV underwent a lot of plastic surgeries in order to look like what you see on TV. I think this should be well-known by all K-Pop-fans.
