你係個好朋友呀!

Can you ask an adult '有沒有放暑假?'?
I'm confused, coz I often only hear people use the word '暑假' to students
If that's the case then how do I say 'Are you going away this summer?'
Thanks!

暑假 is used for summer vacation so yeh it's pretty much for students only since people who work can apply for leave whenever.

THANKS
I think you should be referring to a Taiwanese slang. It should be 挺正 and it means 'quite hot'->That girl there is quite hot.It is usually used on girls.

Yea.. the mandarin pinyin doesn't exist.
Are you sure it's not Cantonese pinyin?

It also means difference/distinction, as in "this & that 有什么分别?"
