For the last three years, I've been dealing with some bad-ass nostalgia... and mainly it has to do with either wanting to be in Hawaii or Korea. I go to a school in detroit(not the greatest place to be), and since i'm in the pharmacy grad program, i'm always busy studying or going to classes. (No summer for me this year, and probably next year too)

But I feel LITERALLY sick to my stomach especially when it comes to summer, because I want to be nowhere but in Hawai'i. I grew up there, I love it there, it's my home and I feel like I'm literally part of it. And I have family in Korea, so that makes me feel nostalgic too.. (and Kdramas.. damn)

Anyway, with the bad economy and all... the dream of going anywhere is like me dreaming to become a superstar. lol. But someday. I also need friends, too, but that's a different story.. and I'm not shamed to admit it.

How do you guys deal with it?

Ughhh... I need help seriously.
Thank you for the Music..

I actually live in Hawaii, how coincidental. I've actually recently moved into town and it's just been hell. I've lost all my friends back in the suburbs and nothing feels the same. I'm stuck in the past, thinking about great times I once had, high school is no fun, and I've got nothing fun to do out here. It's like I want to go out and party and meet new people, but I've got little to no actual motivation and I wouldn't know where to start. So I'm stuck in town with mildly depressive thoughts.

I'm having the same thing.. I wasn't born in Hawaii but I moved there when I was 3 and lived there for 6 years, and now I just REALLY REALLY want to live there again.
I never really fit in here in the suburbs of PA very well. It was so hard to make friends :/ and a lot of them are moving or have moved now..
Mentality there is different too.. its all chill and hang loose. Here its like EVERYONE RUSH AND STUDY HARDCORE. A huge difference too was the schools. I went from a really poor public school in Kailua-Kona to one of the richest parts of the country. Totally different.
Most of my school friends are still together over there in Hawaii ;~;

I have literally nothing to do this summer.. and there's no way to vacation there cause I have no one to stay with cause my parents work.
*Sigh*

EDIT: lol I just remembered my avatar and username is my favorite flower from when I lived in Hawaii. *SOB* I NEED TO SMELL YOU. I MISS YOU, SWEET PLUMERIA :'(

OMG, we should become friends or penpals or something! I bought a Hawaiian perfume called plumeria from Las Vegas and I still have not finished it since (it's been 6 years) because I love the smell so much. I love plumerias to death, such beautiful flowers. Same goes for hibiscus, too.

Yeah, I love that Hawai'ian mentality, so laid back and peaceful. Sometimes I listen to those sleep ocean sounds when I can't sleep at night, and I seriously feel like I'm just lying on that beach all by myself at sunset...

And i miss hula dancing... sad.gif Most of all, I've gotten so pale!Yuck. I wish I had a job and could live there.
