If I have 80k to spend on a car I would get a Porsche 911, or my illogical side tells me, I can get a used Ferrari F355 with 10k miles or a higher mileage F360 for 80k.

If you can't get the GTR just get an M3 and call it a day. C63 is a great great great beast of a car, but the price turns me off.

C63 AMG: For straightline performance
M3: For track and driving experience, but overall performance
IS-F: Doesn't excel in either the twisties or straightline acceleration like the M3 or C63, but is as fast as the M3 in straightline
If u want the cheapest, you can't beat the M3 sedan (base model no options) for $54k

You can pick up a new 08 left over ISF for 50k right now and it comes with everything, fully loaded including nav, prem surround sound, radar cruise control etc.
IMO ISF > M3 most of the time.
Normal cruising ISF is much better, more tq more straight line power, a better gear box for normal and spirited driving in terms of the fully automatic and sequential shifting, more gears, faster smoother shifts, more reliable, more discrete, more luxurious interior, better interior, better build quality.
M3 is only good for tracking and heavy duty driving if that's how you do, or you are shallow and just want to show the badge. Base M3 has nothing (not even BBK! Base ISF comes with Brembo brakes and the base M3 has the same floating caliper brakes like the ones you see on my IS250), BMW aren't as solid built as Lexus (not hating, I've compared the two back to back), and BMW does not have as a superior reliability reputation as Lexus.
If you want to drive and drive and drive then M3.
But if you can afford it C63 > all.
GTR cannot be had for 80k so forget it lol

To the OP, maybe u should consider the RS4 as well. It's slower in handling and acceleration than the others due to its weight, but the engine sounds really nice
reasons the IS-F came in 2nd place to the M3

yes C&D are BMW fanbois but look at some of their test data and some of their complaints about the IS-F.
Oh and the M3 still out-braked the IS-F when coming to a stop from 70 mph.

Someone at my school drives a bone stock M3 and its complete garbage, I have bigger brakes than him in my stock 250, unbelieveable. I think C&D's car has the bbk. Not to mention ISF comes stock with forged BBS 19" and M3 comes with 18".
I personally think the ISF is different than 350, but whatever he wants. My only grip with BMW is how flimsy it feels, I want to believe but every time I shut the doors on the 335 the window rattles and the door sounds like a light clink, where as my Lexus is a nice solid THUD. Even reliability I can over look it but the car feels so poorly put together.
He also lives in Cali... where everyone has an M3.. I would say C63 would win too due to rarity factor. RS4 as well, but some how RS4 doesn't justify the price tag to me, for 70k its just not too much fun or head turning.

From how I see it, too many ppl have BMW's and Benz,
and when ppl see it, they're just gonna go, yeah its just another BMW or Mercedes
seriously, truth be told, we all drive to impress and turn ppl's heads on the road.
Yes, alot of ppl also have the is250/350
but not the IS-F, haha im sure it will turn alot of heads,
is350, and the IS-F are two completely different cars,
completely different engine, so im guessing it will be a complete different feel and experience?
not to mention, it also has a whole complete new look. (kit)
i don't know though, I only test drove the is250,
so my thoughts dont really help, its just opinions
Oh, completely irrelevant, but, did you know the person who designed the Lexus IS-F is the same person who designed the Toyota Supra of all generations

I don't know which model year M3 you're talking about but the current gen M3 has bigger brakes than yours (I'm assuming it's an IS250). 14.2/13.8 front/rear vs 11.6/11.4
It's also the same with the IS-F but the M3 has slightly larger rear discs (13.8 vs 13.6)
There is no BBK option for the M3. Those were standard brakes which stopped better than the IS-F.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
For the OP, honestly, just drive all 3 cars and see which one you like the best. Going off opinions of forum members who probably haven't driven any of the cars isn't going to help you.
But I agree with Laxntiga, if u can afford any of these cars with options, might as well try and get a GT-R instead.

I just remembered something important... brakes don't stop the car, tires does lol
