Not until I went to Korea that I realized Korea's chopsticks are made of stainless steel.
It was kind of hard to use them at first, but I got used to them quickly.
Before I left the country, I bought a set of them together with the spoons.

In general, wood chopsticks are for cooking and ivory chopsticks are for eating.

I have wood, bamboo and metal chopsticks at home. I think the metal ones are much more elegant.

If I'm eating a casual meal then the wood or bamboo chopsticks are fine but if I made a fancier meal, I use the metal chopsticks.
You can find me on the web at Koreafornian Cooking, ZenKimchi Food Journal, Twitter & on Facebook.

I use ivory chopsticks at home, but I think it's illegal to buy them now.

i like metal ones because they force you to hold them properly but I use polished bamboo ones at home. I don't like the takeout chopsticks because of splinters T__T
