A lot of my guy friends' (whose parents I've met) all seem to adore me. It's interesting, because a couple of parents all tell me things about their sons that are... kind of personal. I don't mind it at all, but when it gets up to the point where they're saying that I and ____ would be good together, I just... don't say anything. It gets awkward sometimes, lols. But.. yeah, they all tend to like me a lot. I'm smart, "pretty", come from a good family, and I'm a nice girl in general... or so they say, haha. I'm a good influence :b

When it comes to my girl friends' parents though... they all tell their daughters that they should be more like me But that's another story :S

I have a certain male friend whose whole family I get along really well with. I became good friends with his little sister this year. Everyone calls his parents by their first names, and I had a very long and nice conversation with his mother the other day while he wasn't even home.

My dad on the other hand loves this guy. Absolutely thinks that he is the coolest kid in the world. Thinks we would make the perfect couple. Keeps a picture of the two of us together hanging in the house and on his phone.
And then every female in my family (mom, aunt, grandmother) have "crushes" on him and are constantly complimenting him on his hair, eyes, or calves.

It seems like the only person that doesn't want us to be together him and me...

hahaa I've only met my close guy friend's parents like a few times..not enough to know whether they like me or not..but one of my guy friend's mom's talks to me and crack's a few jokes ahahah..XD

I'd tempted to say no.

While I've been shown to parents rather proudly, I hated it. Also when I meet new people, I have an air of coldness around me enough to freeze eyeballs off.

But in all seriousness, I don't really seem that friendly, I don't like talking to people I don't know well and I'm not comfortable making small talk.

On the other hand a lot of people have seemed to like me. Several adults have complimented me and one even tried to hook me up with her then 14 year old son when I was 10 years old because she thought I looked cute with rosy cheeks back then.

I've gone over to a couple of male friends' houses before myself a fair number of times and always got along great with their parents. The only thing that was pretty weird was when one mom suggested that her son/my friend should go out with me instead of the girl he was dating at the time and then said we should date again when he broke up with her. Awk.ward. That same mom actually has my cell phone number and sometimes calls me to ask about my friend when he's avoiding her calls while he's in out of the state for school. She makes me special dishes when I visit and for a couple of holidays, even if she has to call and tell me to come over even when her son's not around. She's such an awesome woman. I take her side over my friend's when they argue most of the time. Maybe that's why she likes me so much. The other current male friend's mother whom I've met before is pretty nice and gets along well with me, too, but she mostly stays out of the way and does her own thing when her son's friends are over.

I guess I never had a lot of contact with one guy friend's dad after we first were introduced because he's pretty quiet and tired when he's home, but my friend said his dad liked me. I've only met the other guy's dad once, so I'm not sure where we stand, but probably neutral at worst. It seems to me like a lot of parents are less critical of female friends than of girlfriends (especially potential daugters-in-law!).

The rest of my male friends aren't that close or live really far away (university friends). I've never met half of my opposite-sex friends' parents. They've probably never even heard of me, much like my parents have never heard of them.

You know who are harder to get along with than guy friends' parents? Their younger siblings!

They like me too much, to the point where it's awkward to be alone with them because they ask me when me and (insert their son's name here) are going to get together. It's especially weird since I already have a boyfriend, and he's friends with the parents, too. >_>

same as some replies in this thread, if on the girls side, their parents think that i'll be her bf..
on the boys side, their parents compared me and their son which i always reply by
"no i'm not as good as you think, etc"

but some of my girl friends parents are so cold and even though i start the convo, they instantly
