Its official. Jon and Kate Gosselin will announce on Monday that they are divorcing, a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com exclusively.
The source says that Kate recently met with a divorce lawyer. Another source told RadarOnline.com that the couple had previously agreed to separate by July 15.
But that timetable has now been pushed forward.
TLC released video earlier Thursday teasing that a major announcement was coming. And while many have speculated that it centered on the couple splitting up, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively that the marriage is over and Jon will file divorce papers next week.
The stars of Jon & Kate Plus 8 have unwittingly used reality television to broadcast the reality of an unraveling marriage. And theyve done it to record ratings this season as media frenzy around the battling couple has grown in recent weeks, including this past weekend when Jon and Kate spent their 10th wedding anniversary apart.
Kate previously took the sextuplets on vacation to North Carolina without Jon, who was accused of having an affair with Deanna Hummel. Her brother discussed the relationship publicly in a tell-all with Us Weekly magazine.
Jon and Kate were photographed together Wednesday for the first time in a while.
But they have been talking divorce for quite some time, the source told RadarOnline.com, and the decision was recently finalized to announce it.
After being caught with Deanna Hummel, Jon was then spotted with Hailey Glassman, the daughter of Kates plastic surgeon. Sources have told RadarOnline.com that their relationship is ongoing.

UPDATE! MARRIAGE IS OVER!
With an hour-long special broadcast Monday night, Jon and Kate Gosselin, parents of eight young children and stars of the TLC reality show John & Kate Plus Eight, publicly announced that they will separate on the same day that Kate filed for divorce in a Pennsylvania court.
"Over the course of this weekend, Jon's activities have left me no choice but to file legal procedures in order to protect myself and our children," Kate said in a statement Monday night. "While there are reasons why it was appropriate and necessary for me to initiate this proceeding, I do not wish to discuss those reasons at this time, in the hope that all issues will be resolved amicably between Jon and myself. As always, my first priority remains our children.
Jon released a statement of his own, claiming his wife was the first to make a legal move. "This afternoon, Kate filed for divorce. Our kids are still my number one priority. I love them and want to make sure they stay happy, healthy and safe. My job is being the best, most supportive and loving father that I can be to my kids, and not being married to Kate doesnt change that."
UPDATE! JON MOVING TO NY!
"Jon is planning on living and working in New York during the week and staying home with the kids on Friday, Saturday and Sunday while Kate is away," says Sep. "Jon hasn't said anything about getting divorced."
Even though Jon and Kate will be living apart, both parents want to be there for their eight children.
"Jon really seems like he's back to his old self," says Sep, who plans to visit his pal in New York City. "Whatever decision has been made, Jon seems to be at peace with it and in a good place. He doesn't know where Kate is when he's gone [but] I think that's okay with him."
Jon and Kate are expected to make a major announcement on tonight's installment of Jon and Kate Plus 8.
SHOW ON HIATUS!
TLC's hit reality show "Jon & Kate Plus 8" is taking a production break after the couple said on Monday night's show that they were separating.
The show, which follows the lives of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their brood, has become a pop culture sensation, getting TLC its best ratings ever and providing the tabloids with a steady diet of gossip. The couple have been on more than 40 magazine covers over the last two months including seven in a row on US Magazine.
TLC said next Monday would be a clip package with some new footage, but that the next all-new episode would be on Aug. 3. People close to the show say the desire to take a production break came from the network.
So far, six new episodes of the show's 40-episode order have aired. The premiere episode drew almost 10 million viewers and the show is still doing better than it had in its previous four seasons. It has also boosted the ratings of TLC's new show "Cake Boss."
Because of all the turmoil in the Gosselin's marriage, TLC does not have enough footage to put together new episodes right now as its production schedule had become very last minute. Episodes this season were often completed as late as the day of airing.
JON WANTED DIVORCE, HOW THEY TOLD THE KIDS
Jon and Kate Gosselin broke the news to their children together, first by telling twins Cara and Mady.
The identical twins had very different reactions to the news.
"Mady was something. She said, 'I can't say this comes as much of a surprise. I could've guessed.' But Cara just crumpled into tears. She was crying, and I was holding her in my arms like a baby," Kate Gosselin told People.
The Gosselins broke the news to their sextuplets by keeping it "light and airy."
The children were told, "Daddy's not going to live here sometimes, but he'll come back half the time and we'll trade on and off."

MINI UPDATE:
TLC: Jon Gosselin's Ex-Girlfriend Won't Be Joining the Show
Jon & Kate Plus 8 won't be getting a new addition.
A TLC spokesperson is shooting down a New York Daily News report that Jon's former fling, 23-year-old school teacher, will be featured on the show. "Deanna's role isn't expected to be big, but because she's part of Jon's life, she'll be filmed," an insider told the paper.
But a network rep tells Entertainment Tonight, "There are no plans to use her."
