I'm <.4% from an A- in my Honors Chem. class and he won't even boost it up just a little!

Has this happened to you before? I know this because we use an online site for a our assignments and current grades, etc.

my chem teacher last year was like that too.
this kid had a 89.40, which is B+ and for her class, a 89.45 is an A-. The kid's parent came in to talk to her, and she didn't change his grade.
the science teachers at my school are such sticklers.
ugh. and my AP Bio teacher was the same too.
but...I guess that's fair for the rest of the students.

I had a 96.4 in 9th grade Bio...err

got a C
my grade went down to a 89.36%......8[ which was a B

i had 89.7 in math last semester after bombing my final (i had an A- prior) and 89.something in physics which was a GREAT improvement cuz i had an 86ish all semester long. but still so pissed.
only my APUSH teacher was kind enough to round at 89.5 which was exactly what i had so i got an A. my math and physics teachers are such biatches. those B's killed my gpa.

I had a perfect 100 average in chem this last marking period, but she gave me a 99 just because I didn't write my data in pen on my labs...

I had a 89.96% in history one time but the teacher wouldn't round it up and one time I got a 96.98% for English but the teacher also doesn't round up grades

Most teachers at my school would luckily round up if you had an 89% because they think we're doing more advanced material so they're more lenient on us for grading. The only teacher at my school who wouldn't round up if you got lower than a 84.49% is the history/gov teacher because he's picky like that.

Yes...two years ago I was about 0.01% or 0.1% away from an A in math, but my teacher was like, "Nope...sorry. You can't really do anything about it."

This year in math, I almost got an A-. I was like 0.8% away from a grade that the teacher could round up to an A, so I begged my teacher if I could do extra things for points and he held a Kleenex drive which gave kids 5 test points (tests are worth 90%). Luckily, it was enough to raise my grade to a round-able percentage for an A! =)

Actually, I just checked my grade and I guess he didn't put in an assignment...and I don't see the points for the tissue boxes. Well, I don't care. 91.6% = 92% = A.

Sheesh, suck it up!
You should've worked a little bit harder.
It's fairer for the rest of the students who DID get 'A' grades this way.

My world geography teacher was like that. He wouldn't round at all.

Even if you had a 69.999%, he wouldn't pass you.

He called it a "righteous 70" to pass. Tough teacher, but he was my favorite.

in my AP environmental class a 89% is an A

i had a 87.9, but still got an A cuz my teacher was a usc alum lol
