I grew up in Jakarta, Indonesia before moving to LA, but I made frequent trips back to my country to visit family. Whenever I visited, there were these fried noodle snacks that looked like ramen but were already pre-cooked. I know that ramen is fried but these didn't need further preparation. It was a solid square of ramen, not in pieces, and there was a packet of seasoning inside the wrapper. You'd pour the seasoning on (flavored powder), shake it up, and bite into the ramen square like a cookie.

It gave me nosebleeds all the time for some reason but it was SO SO good I ate so many a day. MSG overload.

Does ANYONE know the name of this snack, have pictures of it, or know where to buy it? PLEASE PLEASE help me. I'm such a fatty when it comes to food. laugh.gif

I quickly googled this up because I was curious to find out what you were talking about.

For me, whenever I feel like eating chips, I crush up the ramen in the packets and then get the little seasoning in there, shake it up and crunch, crunch. Semi-home-made chips. xD I dunno though.

Thanks for the link, not quite what I was looking for. Ty though!

And . . . man, I have NEVER tried that. I'm going to. I have this infatuation with ramen.

I think what you're looking for is called "pushyo pushyo." It's a Korean snack that looks like ramyun noodles with a packet of seasoning. You break up the noodles and then add the seasoning and shake it up really well. You can find them on hmart.com I think under the snack section. I like the spicy ricecake flavor.

Hope this helps!

^ I used to love eating Mamee when I was akid. We still have them here but I don't eat i as often.
Maybe mainly because of the uber MSG content in the seasoning..I still only eat the noodles by itself tho

Yes, the MSG content gave me frequent nose bleeds. laugh.gif Still though, the stuff tastes like crack is mixed into it.
