BOOM BOOM SATELLITES
ブンブンサテライツ
Official Website

BOOM BOOM SATELLITES (ブンブンサテライツ) are a electronic music duo from Japan that formed in 1995, consisting of Michiyuki Kawashima and Masayuki Nakano. While their music can be mostly coined as big beat or nu skool breaks, and they are heavily influenced by jazz, they are famous for using a lot of electric guitars and the final product often has a strong rock or punk flavor. In 2004, they contributed numerous songs to the soundtrack of the anime film Appleseed, and also the 2007 anime film Vexille.

Check out some of their music!

I became a really huge fan of them. Their music is so upbeat with lots of powerful synth instrumentals. Anybody else is a fan?? ^^

yay! a fan ^^
i found these lyrics on a YouTube link

Back On My Feet lyrics:

Girl
Blinking tears
It's burning me down
i guess you could if you wanted
I know you know more
It doesn't matter that I know who I am
How to keep it alive to make it
It's on your back

You have a gift to the world
Do something I never would
cos your girl
gonna give you the guns in my head

You want me to be like you
I got my face in my hands
cos you're girl
gonna give you the guns in my head
give you the guns in my head

Blow me away
Cause I can't seem to hear myself
Blow me away
Cause I can't seem to hear myself
I'm back
I'm back on my feet again
I'm back
I'm back on my feet again

Going nowhere
I don't know how to tune my brain
I give
I give you all that you want

Girl
Ready to blast
All over the world
I guess it all depends on what you wanna do
It was everything you wanted right
Everything you ever wanted in this perfect world
Yeah!

We're just another figure
Forever what does it mean
Cos you're girl
You're bringing me down on my knees
You bite the hand that feeds you
So let it go let it be
Cos you're girl
You're bringing me down on my knees
Bringing me down on my knees

Blow me away
Cause I can't seem to hear myself
Blow me away
Cause I can't seem to hear myself
I'm back
I'm back on my feet again
I'm back
I'm back on my feet again
I give
I give you all that you want
I give
I give you all that you want

I LOVE BOOM BOOM SATELLITES!
It's just really good music to rock out to. I listen to it when I study xDD
Some of it's so catchy and it's really like my fave type of music. Does anyone know any other bands/artists with this kind of style?

hey you beat me to it! i was so surprised searching up on "boom boom satellites" recently, to find this music video. the collab was fantastic and I hope to hear more of their US works soon

from their latest album, i like: shut up and explode, bring it on down, intergalactic <3333, Fiends and Easy action.
I still havent heard their other albums yet but they've been in the scene for a realllly long time. ive read that their earlier stuff was all instrumental! cant wait to get my hands on that

PILL, What Goes Round Comes Around and Shut Up And Explode always gets me excited/pumped up for going out dancing with friends. I love this group! They're awesome, definitely something different than what I usually listen to. I first discovered them through Appleseed after hearing Dive For You. smile.gif

The PV to What Goes Round Comes Around is badass, my favourite one by them.

It's pretty cool that Scatterin' Monkey was on The Dark Knight OST. ohmy.gif

^ Dark Knight OST? Now I'll have to look out for their song next time I watch that movie...

Dive For You was a great song... yep, I first heard it in a promo for Appleseed.

I see their clips on TV once in a blue moon but somehow never found myself getting in to their other songs...
