average calorie intake for a healthy teenage girl is 2000 or so cals. a pound equals 3500 cals. if you cut down on 500 calories a day, you can lose a pound a week. BUT, going down to 1500 cals a day can be very unhealthy! unless you have a dietician or something similar write up a proper dietplan for you, cutting down that much can easily result in deficit of nutrients...

That's not necessarily true. You can healthily lose 1-3 lbs a week. As long as you don't go under about 1,100 calories (depending on your size) and you're eating nutritious food, there shouldn't be anything wrong. To maintain your weight you would of course eat more than that, but to lose weight you need to cut some out.
Cut out unnecessary carbs, like bread and rice. Eat lean protein! Grilled chicken breast is very good for diet. Eat a serving of veggies along with every meal. Eat a few pieces/servings of fruit a day. If you have to, eat a SMALL cup of rice or ONE slice of bread.
Remember to eat enough, but don't over eat. Eat a small meal every 4-6 hours.
The important thing is not just eating the right portions, but eating the right things.
Get outside and jog! Or go to the gym and lift weights. (I promise you will not grow huge buldging muscles..

But that's not really a sustainable diet.
You could lose 10 pounds in 1 month.
It all depends on your situation, like how much you weigh.
Just get your body moving doing some cardio. Some weight training will also help with fat burning.

Maybe you can try 4 pounds target this month, then increase it to 5 next month...
I think there's a formula to compute for target weight loss per week. I'm not a dietician, but it has something to do with your height and weight then you minus a certain number of calories ???

uhm, i honestly can't say i agree. 2000 cals a day maintains your weight, because it provides the body with the necessary energy. when you exercise on top of your usual daily routine, your body needs more calories. of course if you're trying to lose weight, you cut out those extra calories and you can still remain healthy.
however, both cutting down your regular intake, especially by as much as 8-900 calories, and doing extra exercise, is not healthy. additionally, dieting/starving is never the road to permanent weight loss, it's a combination between eating well and exercising.

Now, granted, this is advice that was probably geared toward: i) adults and ii) people who are actually overweight
Somehow, I doubt you are out of your teens. And especially given that you are already at a low weight, I have to say, it is very stressful on your body to try to lose that much weight in a month when you are at a period in your life where you are still growing. Ten pounds is more than 10% of your body mass. Think about that for a minute and tell me if that sounds healthy to you.

Where do you get your information o_O.

the more you weigh, the more calories you lose/ use up in a typical day
the following information isn't exact, nor is it the rule
its just information i've gathered from having friends who all weigh varying amounts,
and from personal experience
i say as a general guide,
if you're between 130-120 lbs, the healthiest amount to lose would be 1-2 lbs per week
and eating no less than 1200 calories per day, plus exercise of course
150-130lbs, 2-3lbs per week, 1300 calories per day
180-150, 3 lbs per week, 1500 calories
190+lbs 3-5 lbs per week, 1700-1500 calories
the reason why numbers vary for people of different weights is because you have to consider how much weight one person is carrying
someone who weighs 120 lbs would have to carry extra weights in order to get the same results as someone who weighs 180 lbs doing the same exercises. once again, not the rule, but a general observation
it also depends on how your body gets used to ur diet and/or exercise. you have to vary your routine
"surprise" your body, shock it into losing weight
when i first start a diet i easily lose 5lbs/week for the first two weeks, then i lose about 3-2lbs
after a month and a half it evens out at 2-1 lb per week
but let's say i change my diet, and start a different exercise, i will start to lose more weight, but it takes awhile
all i can say is, STARVING IS NOT THE ANSWER
when you don't eat the required amount of calories, your body stores your fat rather than burn it. Your metabolism also slows down, so when you do eat, your body keeps it for as long as possible. Exercise is always the key
never eat below 1200 calories, unless you weigh 90lbs or something, but then why would you need to lose weight if u did weigh 90lbs
you should also take dietary pills (no, not pills that help you lose weight)
vitamin pills, because as a result of your diet, you will lack in proper nutrients
for girls, it could mess up your period, cause headaches, or even make your skin breakout
so make sure you take something to make up for the lack of nutrients that you're eating

run 30 mins to an hour...and i mean don't walk...walking quickly doesn't count. keep your heart rate around 180...it's high, so you'll be pretty tired, but keep it up...if you can still move, run for 2 minutes, and at every minute interval, see if you can run farther.
my maximum run time went from like 18 minutes last week and today it was well over an hour...and i mean...okay...i was really in shape a few months ago, but a normal person with a little bit of discipline should be able to at least do 20 on the first day and 30 by the end of the first week if they run every day.
seriously. i lost 5 lbs in the last week by just running after i lift...and it's not loss of muscle...i'm getting a lot stronger and my 6 pack is starting to make a comeback. like an extra hour out of your day to jog...(i mean JOGGING) goes a really long way...and i've been scarfing down an entire fried chicken every other day...and i'm still losing weight.
