I have this friend/oppa ive been talking to on facebook for many months now..and hes also korean like me and goes to my university as my same major. we're thinking of meeting one of these days soon at school and eat together there....


Have any of you met an online friend in real life before??
and how did the encounter turn out?? were they like you expected??

Ooh! Definitely! I've met manyyyy!
They are the way they act when we talk online. The friends I've met were really nice and such a pleasure to hangout with.
(We all only get to see each other when it comes time for concerts since we're all over California. ^^) Kind of like when there are Soompi meet-ups. It always turns out great. Hope your friend will be a blast to meet. =)

I never met anyone in real life who I met online. (Blah, that sentence came out weird. o_o)
But there was this one instance where I met someone I already knew in real life online. LOL.
We didn't know at first, but when we kept talking, the topics kept narrowing down.
And we realized that we had already gone to the same academy and knew each other. Haha.
What a coincidence.

I'm going to meet one of my online friends in July; he's flying across the country and he's staying at my house for a week, lol. Talk about a lot of pressure for us to get along. It's cool, though, I've known him for like 5 years, we've had a lot of video chats, and talk on the phone constantly. I'm excited!

One online friend I met through my mom, I just didn't meet the guy in real life until we started going to the same school. It was definitely weird and awkward at first, but you relax soon enough and become comfortable with each other.

You should go for it, just take the usual precautions, meeting in a somewhat public place, etcetc.

And I randomly met this girl online and she knew someone I knew and well...it was interesting haha.

Some people are exactly like how they write on the internet though.
Makes it so much easier to talk.

And seeing that your online friend goes to your school, it shouldn't be that much of a problem it seems?

No..not yet at least.
We discovered we go to the same high school and we have mutal friends.
We are taking korean next year so we are gonna be in the same class for this upcoming semester. xD

yes. 2 times, they both already lived around my area. we met online on an MMO. ended up going to the same high school as them XD the 1st guy.. was pretty much the same online. 2nd guy - i imagined him to be kind of gangster-wannabe but he was actually nerdy. HAHA. its actually really interesting meeting online friends offline.

Anyway, I've met a lot of online friends in person. I had one friend whom I met online during my sophomore year of high school, but we never knew we both knew each other in person. We went to the same church. His girlfriend was a really close friend of mine, and we met, but we didn't know who was really who until we exchanged AIM sns, haha.

Most of the ones I did meet, are all here, where I live, but the one I did meet that was possibly the most riskiest was my one friend who lives in New York. I live on the West Coast, and she's East coast and blahblah. I went to NYC on a field trip last year, so I'm away from family and here I am meeting with someone I met online? I was scared at first, but I trusted her for some reason, even though I already knew how completely opposite she was from me.

We met, and she was so so nice. Hung out a lot while I was there for the week, and we became really close friends :)
Just minus all those times I was terrified of using the subways at night, lol :|

I have met a few, but only one really lasted. We're friends now for five years, but only saw each other twice? Both times her parents came along and chatted with my mom while we sneaked away haha

It was fun, but also kinda weird? I don't know, maybe it's because I'm not used to hearing their voices haha

Recently I meet someone awesome online. My best friend and I had planned our trip to go to Korea and since we didn't know anyone nor speak the language, I decided to make a Korean friend online to know more about the culture being going. She turned out to be awesome and we met. When we went to Korea , she took my friend and I to tons of places. Other than a awesome friends, she was an awesome translator. We had tons of fun thanks to her.
I say meeting people online is definitely great, but make sure the person you are meeting is someone you can trust first.

uh yes i have just one person.
At first,i was a bit nervous but he was more amazed and cute than i thought.I really like talkin to him we still keep in touch till now and he's one of my close friend.He always knows how to make me smile or even...make me cry I think i trust him more than i trust myself lol
