I was just turning left on a green light, and this car didn't notice me and turn left out of the gas station. I tried so hard to brake but hit her car in the back seat. She had a passenger and she could have been paralyzed because the impact was a inch behind her. The police was near the scene so we both file a report. Her insurance ended paying for the damages done to the front half of my car and the car rental. It was like slow-motion when it all happen, like the game Burnout.

just curious. howwww'd it go. :l

i had my first one today.
it wasn't anything too serious.
neither parties got hurt.
we both backed out of the parking lot at the same frikin' time.
of course, she got away with just a few dents, and me?
my back bumper is holding on for dear life.
i don't think either of us are going to be filing claims..
whatever that means. :l

tell me about your first experience.
p.s. mine was frikin' terrifying.
sure, i kept calm at the scene, but afterwards, i just bawled. blah.

at least yours wasn't on the freeway...

i just had my first accident a few days ago too.

i was on an unfamiliar freeway in northern california and some lady cut into my lane and
braked really hard to stop for the traffic infront of her. by doing this she gave me about 1 second
to react and even though i braked in time my wheels locked and skidded into her car.

we pulled over to find that the bumper of her jeep had no damage at all but my right headlight
was pushed in and a little bent but in working condition. oh and when i got out i was shaking from the
trauma..even though it was a tiny accident.

so the conclusion? bay area = bad drivers ..don't hate it's true >:]

oh and the damage is so minimal there's no need to report it. so.. lady, you're in luck!

ex-4runner

NOT ME. this happened a week ago with my dad
its not the first time. its like the 5th cause he is like a car magnet. people ALWAYS HIT HIM
this time it was a huge truck with like a lawnmower in the back -__-
the air bags all came out and he had to go to the hospital and everything
the people were in a lane where they were suppose to turn left, instead they went straight (ILLEGAL) into my dad's car
and the police report came out and said it was my dad's fault cause they lied to the police and told them lies and blamed my dad cause he wasnt there MOFOS.

sorry pics are big

I had my first in April. After 4 years of driving. I was driving through the intersection on a highway in my city at about 55mph the speed limit. And the person in front of my slams on their breaks in the middle of the intersection. And my reaction time, according to my doctor, is about 30-35% slower than the average person. He didn't have any scratches but by bumper is missing pieces and my hood is bent up.

Now every time I see a nice new car on the road I see the front destroyed. But I am glad I have hooptie instead if a nice car cause I would be devastated.

I had the same situation as you. I backed up and she did the same. There wasn't any damage though, so scratch or anything. Both of us were going under 5mph lol. Does that still count? I technically hit another car...
Ooh, life is good. ♥ :)

My first one was on a rainy day in February on my sister's 18th too :l
I got rear-ended when i was stopped at a red-light, how lovely, i was in total shock.
the other driver was coming from a kinda sloped road so it was like 30-40 mile hit i guess,
my baby jetta's behind was pushed up, while the other car's front got messed up, i didnt look but my sister did & it was bad.
After that incident, i was scared of driving, well just of every single car that got behind me,
i'm good now tho yeesh.

My first accident totally pissed me off. I was stationary at the red light in the middle lane. He was diagonally behind me on the left lane and decided to merge onto the middle lane when the lights turned green while i was still stationary waiting for other cars infront to move, he hit me and sped off. I chased him down which i shouldn't have. He gave up eventually and pulled over.

As soon as he got out of the car, he said ''it's your fault!'' and was reluctant in exchanging details. What the hell? Took photos of the damage on both vehicles, exchanged details and called the cops. I guess he didn't have insurance.
