I'm soo confused.. I don't know when orientation is..
I looked online yesterday and found out that it was May 18. O_____o
But it did say Summer '09 students.
I didn't get any information on it that so I didn't even know. :[
I guess it's my fault... I should have looked online often to check..

For students who go to CSULA...
Is there another orientation for freshman that is going to take place that I don't know about yet?

If I did miss the orientation what does this mean?

Does this affect my registation? Like I don't get priority in choosing classes?

Lastly, on the CSULA Student Center page.. it says that my status is Complete and not admitted.
Does admitted just mean that I don't attend the school right now?

Please help a very confused freshman ;]

As far as I know they send you a letter telling you to register for a registration day. It should be about midterm time, the first week of the summer quarter started today so add 5 weeks for approximate time.
(basing on when my brother registered in 2007 or something)

I would say just call and harass them for a while =P

well, i got a letter from csula saying that they are going to be sending us mail about everything soon

CSULA has been troublesome for me! They're a bunch of dicks because they lost my transfer papers. TWICE. So I suggests make copies of transcripts, SAT, etc. Other than that CSULA is not that bad of a school. A lot of people commute which makes it kind of dull. I'm usually at the arcades killing time before class or eating Carls Jr.

I'm sure you'll have fun though since you'll be a freshman.

I'm commuting because my parents won't pay for the dorms. :T

The new one doesn't look nearly as nice as the old student union. The old one looked more like a bar and was semi-neat.

And yes... I know lots of people who had their transcripts lost and all that fun stuff

oh yeah i called because i had just recieved the Parent Orientation brochure and they told me that i should be getting the student one sometime soon and that each date is like organized by major...i live in florida so i need to get that stuff in ASAP so i can buy my plane ticket and i'm kinda worried cuz i don't know ANYBODY in california and i'm going to be traveling alone so yeah i need everything to run smoothly but yeah thats all the info that i know about orientation.....

thanks yeah thats wierd that you haven't gotten brochures...well hopefully by now you have tho...and yeahhhh i'm coming from the other side of the country...i'll be going there next week for orientation...
