Hm. Maybe I should get all up in my parent's faces early. See if it's possible to go to Korea for his tour (read: odds? about a billion to one. there's still a fighting chance). Maybe this time 'round he'll do a US tour. That would be... so very lovely...

I'd want a NY concert because I'm far east coast, and if it were LA, I don't know how realistic it would be for me to go. Myself and my family would have to save up for a long time, and I don't even think they'd think it'd be worth it. On top of that, there are other things in the way as well. So I think it's safe to say my chances of going to Korea to see him are at 0%, unless I strike gold in the near future. And ever seeing him at all in my lifetime is looking pretty unlikely, but here's hoping.
and nothing to doubt.

Reading that depressed me to the max.
Except I'm in Chicago. Smack dab in between the two coasts... And the two coasts are the only places any Asian artists ever go. Ever.
No, Heffy, you're turning me into a pessimist too! XD;;

According to a music official in Japan, singer Seo Taiji, who currently resides near Harajuku, has been meeting with local indie bands and discussing potential collaborations.
Seo Taiji has been living in Japan since 2000 but has been coming back often to work on his music. His last album was released in January of 2004 and fans have been enthusiastically awaiting his 8th album, which has been postponed since last year.
Some speculate that Seo will release a new album by the end of the year, but an official said that nothing is certain.

Whatever, in my opinion, Taiji hasn't really made a bad decision in his near 20 year old career, so he could do a collaboration album with Michael Bolton and I'll still be one of the first to pre-order it.
(No offense to any of you who like J-rock & Indie. I'm not a fan.)
and nothing to doubt.

But I'm curious as to which bands he's been meeting with.
I don't think it's to collaborate on an album though.
Probably to tour with him or attend etpfest or something like that.
Who knows. But this news is killer.

Hah hah, yes, I could imagine Taiji as visual kei. ^^;;;; Not that I'm imagining it thinking "this makes sense" or anything, hah hah hah.
I didn't know that about Luna Sea. That's nifty, 'cos Luna Sea = <333
Wow. If I did fail at photoshop I'd totally make a project out of VK Taiji.

As far as album recommendations... Hmmm, my opinion? Heh heh. That's hard to say for multiple reasons. ^^;
There are very, very few Seo Taiji songs I even remotely dislike. And every single album of his has at least a few of my favourite songs of his. Thing is, his style is so highly changed from album to album, it's even hard to recommend just one unless you like a certain style and not the other. For example, if I wanted my friend to listen to Seo Taiji and be impressed, I wouldn't let him borrow a single album. I'd give him songs from different albums to sample, y'know?
But uh. Let's see. I really can't call any of his three solo albums a favourite. I just... can't choose. But of the four Seo Taiji & Boys albums, I'd have to say their 3rd album is my favourite. Which sucks because I think my favourite Taiji Boys song is Hayeoga, which is on their 2nd album.
.... Yes, I DO make things more complex than they have to be.
In short, I'm sorry, I can't choose.

I don't think Taiji would start doing VK stuff. And God I hope he doesn't.
and nothing to doubt.

Taiji Boys Vol.1 is my favorite album out of all of them. I like all the solo albums so I really can't choose.
So is the 8th issue coming out in December? Thats a long wait it will be almost a 4 year absence since the 7th Issue came out on Jan. 7

same as from when he (taijiboys) retired in '96 and he "finally" made promotional comeback in 2000 for ultramania...
...and that wait felt like an eternity...
but hopefully he will not take ANY LONGER than 4 years to make this new album...
