Seo Taiji is allowing Big Bang to sample one of his songs for the first time.

for the first time, the legendary singer Seo Tae Ji allowed his songs to be used to make a new song..and guess to who?
BIG BANG. they went and asked him personally if they could use Seo Tae Ji's song for their upcoming mini-album and Seo Tae Ji said yes.

The song BB is using is 환상속의 그대, which is like... The person in a Fantasy, or something.
BB used the song to make the song Crazy Dog, composed and written by G-dragon and Brave Brothers (the people who helped LExy with her album)

Seo Tae Ji always said that he was really impressed with how big bang composed and wrote their own songs and he joined all the other seniors in the music industry who say that big bang is very likable and has a lot of talent. Coming from Seo Tae Ji, thats a huge deal.

so yeah. I got really excited when i heard the news cus its a FIRST for Seo Tae Ji songs to be used to make other songs.

Wow, seriously? That's awesome! I love Big Bang (And 환상속의 그대 is one of my favourite Taiji songs) so I can't wait to hear how it sounds!
I can't say I'm that surprised as to who he gave permission. Big Bang is a surprisingly respectable group, and other groups who are more "conventionally" respectable aren't the type to sample songs like that, y'know? Plus Big Bang's got the YG connection.

Yea, the YG connection. By the way on PopSeoul I heard Lee Juno would like to reunite with YG and Taiji for a Taiji Boys reunion.

During his recent interview, Lee Juno shed some light on the sudden disbandment of Seo Taiji and Boys. He recalled the exact moment when Seo Taiji told the Yang Hyun Suk and Lee Juno that he wanted to disband. They were producing their fourth album at the basement of Seo Taiji’s house when Seo dropped the bomb and “the boys” agreed because they understood the artistic pains of the creator. Lee Juno also nonchalantly acknowledged that Seo Taiji was closer to Yang Hyun Suk because he was the last member to join the team.


When Seo Taiji and Boys broke the news to the fans, the fans went wild and the legends had to flee the country for their own safety. When they arrived in LA, the three had their last hamburger together and went on their separate ways.

And the rest is history. Seo Tai-Ji produced his own recording company and has been releasing his albums whenever he feels like it. Yang Hyun Suk founded YG Entertainment and produced many artists, including Jinusean, 1Tym, Se7en, Big Bang, Lexy, Big Mama, Gummy, Wheesung, etc. Lee Juno also produced dance groups, but they weren’t as successful and he currently manages his own clothing line and produces.

Lee Juno expressed that he wanted to perform on stage as Seo Taiji and Boys again, but do you think that’s a good idea? Do they still have the magic touch?

The fans noticed it was a picture never seen before, so someone took a pic of the TV, which people photoshopped to make it look like an original photo itself.. There's a humongous version of this pic which I'm using as my background, but I'll post that later if anyone wants. For now, here's the smaller version

^actually, i think it's an extremely good deal for 7 CDs and 2 DVDs. anybody agree? it's a high price, but you have to remember that it's 7 CDs + 2 DVDs + whatever else is included in there so it's actually a REALLY good bargain for all those things. and you have to consider that yesasia marked up the price =___=....some people pre-ordered it when yesasia put it up as $120 and now it jumped up 50 dollars;;

Also, I agree with you. In Korea the price was originally equivalent to about $105 USD, which is INSANELY cheap. $169.99 is a bit crazy in comparison to $105 and $120, but realistically, taking the price of the ten total individual discs, plus the nice packaging, into consideration... it isn't that bad at all. And I definitely couldn't blame anyone who bought it for a price like that. ^^
