if you guys had a bf/gf, and broke up. how long did it take you guys to get over them? or if you've never had a bf/gf, and liked someone, how long did it take until you stopped liking that person?

unless they find someone new =/
but this is just my pov.

i concur. i still like this person who i had a thing with back in april, but it's been kinda hard to get completely over. and it doesn't help with the fact that he still hasn't replied back to my text cuz it's been several days now, PLUS there are no guys back at my hometown. *sigh* but really, it depends on the guy. i had a crush on someone else prior to this boy, but i surprisingly got over him quickly.

AND it further sucks cuz his ex is back home too, so they're likely to see each other more often. although he did tell me he's coming up to norcal next month, but dunno where since i'm from norcal. *sigh* boys are so confusing and weird...

but how serious was this "thing" you had with this guy? i think that how deep you were in the relationship determines if you can let go easily or not...

Depends on the situation honestly for me... I got over my person while we were dating and that's why it ended... If it were someone I had a major crush on then probably a couple weeks or maybe even a couple months or even years!

i kind of disagree.
but i think it depends on the situation.
my first boyfriend.. total bust.
missed him like crazy that year.
but afterwards, it's like eh.
he's not going anywhere in life.

plus i met an amazing boy a couple years later.
we're still together. n_n

because of him, i don't think about my ex's.
really have no reason to. lols. :'D
oh hi.

^ for some reason i don't like that way of thinking. and another reason i can't come to explain why. perhaps it doesn't help when you try to get over someone.

guess it depends on how long till you stop thinking "they were the one" . and realise there's other fish in the sea.

_ ah the vagueness. a simple answer to the question. +one year. why? cos i used to be a delusional romantic. kinda creepy looking back tbh. lol.

Usually a few months or earlier. Once I start meeting new people or become pre-occupied, I start to
forget about that person. It's not as easy as it seems to be though..

I was dating a girl for a few months. We stopped talking, because she cheated on me. She lied a lot as well. I really had a hard time dealing with it, because I was falling for her really hard. I thought she was going to be someone I'd progress with. 6-7 months all I could think about was her. I sent her a long email about how I felt/feel about her. She read it, and ignored it the other day. So I know that's my sign to be strong, and move on!!

First first bf that i really "liked" took about a year to get over only because we kept going on & off throughout the year. But looking back at it, it was a silly "puppy love" relationship. The next few boys took less than a month only cus i realized i never liked them in such a deep emotional way, it was only a one month thing, haha.

i completely agree. There's a quote, i'm not sure by who, "Your first love is the most memorable. The others after are just forced." Lol.

Anyway, if it's a guy i can't get (meaning, him to like me back) then it takes a long time to get over him. I have this problem of wanting what I can't get. If it's a guy that i like and like me back, really quickly.

oh dang, that's so sad, I'm sure there'll be a lot of girls that would like your personality though-given that you go meet'em.

I had this serious crush on a guy for like 2-3 years
I got over it after a year. It was reallyt painful because I was his best friend and he was mine

But when it was my bf. I got over it in a week or two. I broke up with him so it wasn't hard

It takes me forever to get over the person I like. As long as I don't see the person then my feelings start fading. I don't think I can ever stop liking someone. If I don't "like" a person, I'll still be attracted to them physically.
