Hey Soompiers!
I've been a silent reader on soompi for a while now
but this one issue have been bothering me lately.

I'm a sophomore going into my junior in the fall of '09
and I've been thinking a lot about going to the Naval Academy or the Military Academy.
OR getting a scholarship.

BUT I have a huge problem...
I'm an illegal immigrant...
it's really depressing me now a days, because I can't do anything about it.
I'm constantly fighting for the DREAM Act, but I see no hope for it anytime soon.

Soompiers, can you kindly offer advice on how I can work my way to get into the Naval Academy or the Military Academy?
I'm a girl by the way, but since I was young, I was always interested in Military life.

You can't be in the military if you're an illegal immigrant, you either have to be a legal PERMANENT (not conditional) resident (via Green Card) or a US Citizen.
They're pretty strict on those policies so your only hope is to get a Green Card then you're granted citizenship when you enter the Military (At least that's what they used to do, not sure about nowadays.)

I'm sure you can google ways to get a Green card.
