Does anyone know if any of those kinds of games exist? If so where can I get them? And what kind of game console do I need?

drummania and guitarfreaks...but they're arcade only
taiko no tatsujin 1 and 2 for ds or psp
dj max portable series for psp
ouendan 1 and 2 for ds

drummania and guitarfreaks are the closest to rock band and guitar hero though.

have you heard of costom guitar hero?
you need a ps2 filp-top & a program you can get online.
basically what you do is make a song using the program and you can play that song on guitar hero.

you would never see haruka kanata by asian kung fu generation in a guitar hero game, but this guy costomized it! =]

Taiko No Tatsujin is also in PS2 I think
You could even buy the drum set.
Taiko is definitely fun
The 2 DS series got me going for at least a year until I was able to purchase a Memory Card for my PSP, and get even greater games

But seriously, even I still play Taiko on my PSP

you can buy guitar freaks and drum mania for ps2 for home use, the actual guitar you use at the arcade version for guitar freaks can also be used at home buuut it costs about $300 USD haha but you can find cheaper guitar controls (Y)
