I'm thinking a high probability that this card is NOT an Original Equipment Manufacturer, however i did e-mail the guy and he said it was an OEM card with REAL 16gb capacity and transfer speed, but something doesn't seem right. I mean it sounds too damn good to be true, like a mail ordered russian wife for US$5.00 (jk about russian wife, i love russians)

UPDATE 6/26/09: I TESTED OUT AND IT'S NOT A LEGIT ONE. I mean the newer FAKE ones even has same model number as the REAL ONES..isn't that crazy? Apparently Chinese counterfeits are using some type of software to make psp to read as 16gb or what not, but the files get corrupted after certain memory capacity. I shall just get a refund from him and buy one from amazon (amazon dealers) for 10 more bucks.

UPDATE 6/27/09: I e-mailed the guy and he e-mailed me back saying that if i can do partial refund, and i said NO i want a full refund. After that he hasn't responded since. I am afraid he's avoiding me, but since i have his home address, i can always call them authority on him, but then again...i don't wanna lose my money so i'll just wait until tomorrow.

With the packaging gone, it's probably fake. That, and I think the font is off on the 16GB.

At that price I hope its real I don't think its much cheaper than a real one.
But lets say its fake, http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.15682 would be the best comparison (dealextreme edits out logos of things that are fake but actual product has the logo)

If it works, then usually its just slower reading and writing but otherwise not that bad.

even the fake ones have same part number as genuine part now (MS-MT16G)....it's hard to tell, i guess the only way to figure out is to test it out on command prompt and also on psp. The FAKE ones says "unsupported/unknown" when you look at the the memory card info. on the psp. Well if it's fake then i will have my refund from the guy and get a real one at AMAZON.COM since it's only 10 dollar difference/just buy two 8gb and save myself more money =]

hopefully even though it's not a true oem card, you will get the full 16GB (or 15GB) with just write speeds being slower than a real card.

Yeah it's pretty easy to spot fake MS Pro Duos the quality difference, the transfer speed, game play, and the major factor is whether or not it's Magic Gate supported. If it's not magic gate supported then either you need to format it or it's a fake.
