Got A 1640. Good Or Bad? Will My Parents Beat Me?

june one i got a 1640 and i was wondering if that's still bad. will I get beat again???

Yeah.
1640 isn't bad at all. But how was your Reading + Math, some colleges only really pay attention to that score... So if you were like me and your writing sucked.... then there is plenty of hope.
Also you can always take the ACT, that is a much more straightforward test (however if you are a slow test-taker, it will be difficult)

but take it again. take some prep classes, or study from a couple of review books.

Also, you can always go to Community College and transfer into a University. But I think 1640 should be okay for those colleges. Check out what their 25-75 percentille range is for the SAT

That's probably the best path if YOU want to go to a university.
If you want to pursue other things then you should, as long as you have the drive and the willingness to strive for those things.

The SAT score isn't everything. Colleges also look at extracurricular activities and community service, so if you're really involved with that plus a strong personal statement and really good letters of recommendation, then you have a shot.
