So how do you put the rom in the emulator so you can actually play the game?

are you talking about mounting a CD/DVD image in an ODD emulator? if so then go to www.daemon-tools.cc
if you're talking about playing ROM backups on games platform emulators then i can't help you there

Open the emulator... most likely it'll be like file>open>"insert rom name here"

^ That's one way. Or you can open the emulator and drag whatever game file you want to play. You can drag your saved files as well.
