Who has gone to college, decided to take a break off from school, but never went back??
I've seen a lot of ppl do that. & i want to take some time off of school too.
but i'm afraid i might never go back either...
though i will say, I have great confidence in myself that i will go back.
because i don't wanna end up like a bum or working hard full-time.
i just wanted to work full-time for awhile & help my parents for now.
i hate seeing them working so hard & coming to tell me of their hard times.
it's heartbreaking for me. :/

i'd suggest not. i've seen people who took a break for like 10 years and so and when they got back, they're screwed since the system is changing, the classes they need are changing, the requirements are changing, and so forth.....

Agree with the above person. I remember seeing my counselor and the person before me was this 40 year old guy who hasn't been in school for almost 2 decades or so...and he had so much trouble. I'd just finish school and then if you want to go back for other degrees then you do it haha.

You'd be surprised at the number of people who left school and returned later.

If you don't think you'll go back, chances are you won't. Stick it out and finish. Or go part-time until you're ready to go back full-time.

I know a lot of people who have taken a break and never gone back, and I can't think of a single one that doesn't regret it.

It depends on your motivation, in all honesty, but if it worries you I say just stick with it. Just think about it this way, if college is stressing you out, all you're doing is postponing the stress for a little while. We all know college isn't always easy, but in the long run knowing you have that degree in your hands will totally be worth it.

I suggest you do a study abroad program if your school offers it. It's like taking a semester (or year if you have the $$$) off + you get to see things. Otherwise, I'd advise you against "taking a break", if you really feel stressed then take the minimum amount of units and coast through a couple of semesters/quarters.

yeah, i was thinking about that too. But i just haven't found out which schools offer it.

people thinks taking a break for a while will take the stress away and it does. some people doesnt really wanna break instead go into working full time and all they want is money. there's probably no best time to go back to college but now. don't "Take a break" my friend, rather take it in and continue until you finish at the very end

A friend of mine (super smart guy btw) did this and went back after..3 years. You have to make it as your goal or else you'd get sidetracked.
