So in a couple of weeks I will be flying a plane for the first time to China for 2 weeks. I was wondering what liquids would be best to bring with me, especially because I'm only bringing hand baggage. I was thinking toothpaste, liquids for my contact lenses, water, shampoo, douchegel, deodorant, creme, hairspray. Should I bring something else too? Am I forgetting something?
Also, are you allowed to open the plastic bag in the airplane to drink your water?

those items weight can't be more than 3 oz.
you can't bring your own bottled water. You can buy one from the stores in the airport AFTER you pass the security scanner thing.
passengers on US and European flights are now allowed to carry only travel sized (3 ounces US/100 ml EU or less) containers of liquids or gels through airport security in one one-quart sized plastic, clear ziplock-style bag. Beverages purchased in the airport *after* clearing security are also permitted aboard.
