This probably isn't the best idea either.. but if the workshops still hours away, take some nyquil and try to fall back asleep?
Otherwise, I find that staying active while I'm tired gives me some energy.. workout?
drink coffee?

Oh you beat me to it. 5 hour energy! Lol. My friend is a dealer in vegas and he says he takes it sometimes and he says it works. Another friend says it works and no crash either. My bf bought one for when we were driving home from vegas (or was it when we went to monterey..) but hasn't taken it yet cause he says he's scared. Lol.
Personally, I would never take Nyquil for any other reason but a flu/cold. That's just me. I guess i'm just a goody twoshoes when it comes to messing with medicine.

5 hour energy i heard is pretty good, like theres no huge crash after
vitamin B pills help too (well for some people) and i mean they're not bad for you since they're just vitamins and their supposed to boost energy
eat lots of carbs to get you food energy and what not.
eggs, bread, apples help i think

all I did was get pumped up like crazy and not concentrate on how tired I was
(too scared to try anything like energy drinks x_x)
don't lose concentration or start daydreaming during the event or you'll crash

heh depends how much you take. it can be good in moderation because of the free fatty acid mobilization (encouragement of fat metabolism). just depends what your goals are.. obviously too much will cause your heart rate to go way up.. but that's what usually happens when you work out
