Well hey guys,
let me rant for a while and share how rather infelicitous Samsung D900i Is.
Feel free to skip to the bolded part if you wanna skip my rant, But you'll probably LOL if you read, because apparently this phone is haunted.
Well firstly I had the D900i obviously.
It's fairly faulty phone. It basically kept on bombarding me with various problems.
After having it for a couple of months, the LCD screen is screwed, it spits out green lines, and basically the screen is not acceptable at all.
I figured that by changing the skin to the white one, it kind of fixes the problem.
Screen is still screwed, but at least you can see wth is on the screen.
Then on December ish, some damn miracle happened.
It was a so so so Effing hot day, but then some miracle happened!
My phone is fixed for no reason. Screen is alright again, so I was happy.
But then at nite the LCD decided to piss me off again.
So I concluded heat will help it, but I tried again and no luck.
I think this phone has a ghost in it, it's just trying to play around with me.
As of yesterday, 1 and a half year has passed since I use it.
the LCD is probably real tired and decided to just kill itself.
well lol guess what, the screen doesn't show any single thing.
It just spits out a blank screen with it's wonderful light! How wonderful!
The most annoying thing is that it still works fine. I tried to call someone in that blank screen and it still frickin works. Only the screen is not showing.
That's really great.
That's only one problem, the phone has spit out many other problems to me.
I don't even drop it or anything, but I do admit I use it a lot for txting. and I mean A LOT.
But keypad is fine, so wth.
So here I am, writting this thread while feeling very angry.
preparing for the worse case scenario of needing to buy a new phone.
Now, I should be happy, because the phone is effed anyway, the skin (whatever you call it) is peeling off, only a lil bit though.
The thing is, I'm a mommy's boy, and I don't have money, so my mom is the one who have to buy the new phone.
Since I'm a mommy's boy, I feel sad that I broke the damn phone and had to buy a new phone.
I'll put the personal feelings aside. trust me.. the fact that I'm a mommy's boy will be important later... lol...
Now I have two choice actually...
-buy new phone
-Replace the LCD
Apparently my friend said to replace the LCD it cost around $200 (Let's say Aussie $)
Well if that is the case, then F that. New phone is more worth it.
As far as I can remember, it was only $60. so I will need to check of course.
But $200 is just BS. The new thing is only sold for $230, so wth.
Second option, buying a new phone.
I have 3 phones in mind.
-LG Ice Cream
-LG Cookie
-Samsung E840
Apparently LG Ice Cream has bad battery, and from reviews, it's a total rip off, because the only good thing is the LED screen on the front. so I decided to not buy it.
Now Cookie, this is the dream phone for me. With only $20 difference between Ice Cream.
Ice Cream is $349 ish. While Cookie is $369.
So I figure I'll just contribute $20. Which leaves me $10 in my back account! --
Next is the Samsung E840. Cheapest phone, only like $250 or something.
From reviews, it seems to be fairly decent and non faulty.
My friend got it and I just loved it. You might be wondering why i just don't ask my friend.
1) I don't trust him
2) He's trader, he sells his phone after around 4 months and buys new one. No possible problems could arise within 4 months.. otherwise it must be a hellhole phone IMO. (EG my phone)
So I was just wondering, Is E840 worth buying? (likely I will buy this phone, because it's cheap, but If it's faulty/bad, then..... sigh...)
Cookie or E840?
Keeping in mind that I am a mommy's boy........... I feel sad for my parents if I buy cookie... coz it's quite pricey... but then again, if E840 is faulty, Cookie would be much more worth it rite?
