internships vs jobs

They are pretty similar (the only difference being pay & maybe work hours) but does one trump the other on college applications?
I'm not really going into detail about this because I think it's pretty self-explanitory...?
But yeah, any information would help

If the internship is in the field you're studying then I'd do the internship. In the end, you should pick the one that has to do with what you are planning to major in.

Ex:
Planning to go Pre-Law
Internship/Job at a Lawyer's office.

If your internship has nothing to do with what you want to major in, I'd go for the job so you can save up for college. But really it depends on the quality of of the job and the internship.
