the title says it all~ what do u all think about doing an assignment in a group?

i've had groups that work well, and groups that drove me crazy. some experiences were horrible ><" i wish i can wipe it out of my memory.

share some experiences~ xD

i'll... write my experience up when i'm feeling a bit better. not brave enough to think about it atm. lol.

group work is ok when you are in a good group...
most of the time, i end up having to do most of the work, so i don't really like it that much

i remember one time we had to do a paper as a group...if i don't remember wrong, i think i was a persuasive piece? anyways, each of us agreed to do a section of the paper(prob was a paragraph each)
my group members didn't hold up their end of the stick, so i ended up writing at least 75% of it...
*sigh* bad days....

I don't like working in groups cause people do not include my ideas on work into the project, i just sit there and feel like an idiot. I give them a whole bunch of ideas and they either ignor me or they disagree. But when i work by myself i still do a good job and people are amazed on my work alone.

I don't really like working in groups, mostly because they aggravate me. Either I don't say anything and I feel like a dumb person contributing, or they talk about everything but the work. Which makes me do all of it and they just copy, so annoying.

I don't really like it. Especially if I'm with people that I've never really talked to because it's so awkward to me.
& I hate it when they're just goofing off and doing nothing -____-

Sometimes I hate it, sometimes I need it.

I'm not going to lie. There are times when I don't really pay attention in class and then have to do a group project that I don't really understand, so I need my group members. But most of the time, I do the work and people copy off of me...which does get annoying, but whatever?

I prefer not interacting with fellow students unless we have spoken outside of class.

I just don't like it, I HATE it.
Too many times have I had to do all or 95% of the work because I don't want to fail.
Why'd you bother to ruin those rose petals when you knew he loves you not?

It depends on the individual person. You can have one person who has a hard time understand but is willing to learn. Then you have another who is a dumb idiot and isn't willing to learn, but considers the answers to be given to them and rides on the effing coat tail of an innocent intelligent person! agh!

I've had my experiences and I rather work alone because most times you get the latter.

It depends if the group is "good". If it's a group with people that are basically clueless, not good >.<

I hate working in groups, because everyone is stupid.

Well, not everyone, just most of the people I meet.

I always get stuck with the work, and they get to reap the benefits of a good grade. Funny how that works out. :T

I only like working in groups with the semi-intelligent-intelligent ppl.

Well they don't even have to be smart, they just need to be motivated to work.

I hate being stuck with the lazy ones.

I rather work by myself. Group work is too frustrating especially when you have people who are lazy.
I admit it, i am a little bit of a control freak when it comes to projects and i always worry about the parts being done by group members.
Most of the time their part is okay, but there are lots of errors so in the end i fix most of it for them. Bleh.

Going solo = awesome. biggrin.gif

I dislike group work more than anything else when it comes to assignments. Nothing goes right, and I always end up doing most of the work. It's frustrating, especially when they don't know anything to help back you up.

I am a soloist and perfectionist!

I enjoyed group work when I get to pick my own partners! My friends are reliable than just those people who keep leaching off you, until you get tired and fall dead. I see no point in group work! I already know all my classmates! Some people need to know that "LIFE AN'T THAT EASY, NO ONE IS GONNA BE ALWAYS THERE TO HAVE YOUR BACK."

I just want to slapped them back and forth. If they fall down on their part, than my grade will died! So I cannot let this happen, I usually do most or all the work!

Sometimes I want to watch them suffer so slowly! I hate it when teacher put me with some losers, who just sleep and get a passing grade.

They are not going to get any better with me, probably worser!

I like group work....
Only if we can choose or own partners...
Smart ones... wink.gif

But I have noticed that the work I do myself is incredibly better than some of my group projects, but I have the hardest time getting started and I get confused easily.

I just had this conversation with my boyfriend not too long ago. Sometimes group work can be fun when everyone participates. I just had a project where we have to build something to protect an egg. Sooo fun and hilarious.

But I'm also in another group...the group of HELL! I end up being the only one doing the work! Most of the time I'm the one busting my ass and everyone else takes credit for my work. Or I'll bring in my work and the other people will literally have nothing. The next week I bring in more work and still, they have nothing. I just want to pull my hair out. I feel like people just drag me down. ARG. So I became the pseudo leader and designate work for them. What am I? Their mother? I guess so! When they still don't do the work I usually talk to my teacher privately about my problem, and their pretty lenient about grading me. smile.gif Oh and I stop doing other peoples portion of the work a loooooooooong time ago. If they don't do it, too bad. The teacher knows whats up if you speak to them in private.

My boyfriend is in a group right now with a Nazi leader. All he does is dictate and give orders, and NEVER does any real work himself. My boyfriend did about 40 pages of work, and the guy had to nerve to ask him the next day "you didn't do anymore work?", when he hasn't done mini cooper. He never takes anyones ideas into consideration or compromises. So my boyfriend had to put the smack down LOL pretty much stood up in front of him in front of everybody and made him put his foot in his mouth (and come on the guy is like 5"3 and my boyfriend is almost 6 feet).

I enjoy group projects! But I prefer choosing my own groups, of course. Lol.
They have to be consisted of hard-working people and those you get along well with. I really hate it if there's one person not doing any work at all and just watching everything happen. But that's when the group evaluations help a lot. x]
