Here in Southern California, Arirang TV (home of Pops in Seoul & Showbiz Extra) just recently started broadcasting on digital TV on CH 44.5 for free. I do not know if this is available nationwide or only in the LA/OC area. You may or may not need to rescan your channels to get this.

do you have a hdtv? get those old rabbit ears receivers and just twist it in the back and scan for channels and you should get digital tv channels
if you have cable tv then you may not get all the available dtv channels
also
if your a new yorker, arirang will be coming to your dtv as well
i think the commercial said ch 48.3 on aug 18? or 15?

But the bad part is that for me, that channel is extremely
low signaled. So it'll freeze in place or not come out at all 90% of the times

well i have the basic service for comcast and its on channel 197.
im from the bay area to be exact. it doesnt list the schedule though
ooh. i have the exact same cable. hehe. usually, if i want to see what's on 197, i just check online. it's a bit bothersome, but that's the only way i can ever find out when the shows i like is going to be shown. =D

Arirang TV has been available on Dish Network for a long time. It's usually on channel 705 for those that pay for it as part of their programming. You can get it "A La Carte" for $4.99 a month if you don't want the international package. That's how I used to watch Arirang until they started broadcasting it over-the-air aka "rabbit ears" for free.
