do you have to turn in this oral essay?

that's weird cause some people give speeches off of notes--not word per word scripts.

anyway, i'm interpreting this "oral" essay as a written speech. so if i were you, i would just write out the speech like I would say it. Don't worry about following a traditional essay format since it's an "oral" essay and meant to be spoken. See MLK's "I Have A Dream" speech and its transcript. Or Steve Job's speech to Stanford Graduates. I think those should help
