So I just started playing StepMania again after the longest time, and I'd totally forgotten how fun and addicting it was!
Do any of you out there still play this awesome game?

Problem is I'm worried the mat won't last long cause it's only taped to a board, we haven't been able to find anything to stick on top ><

My mat broke so i use my fingers instead xD

If you're not on 3-step or something.
Most songs are probably more intense than any exercise you'll ever do, especially any songs that are meant for your fingers.

Well I only play the actual songs though.. like ones from ITG or DDR machines.
Not custom ones.
Coz they are mostly quite BS lol.

lol exactly what I mean. These songs are just too bs, since they are either too fast or whatsoever lol.
I haven't tried them actually.......... but I assume it's way faster than usual anyways

I just play for the sake of keeping up with it so I don't lose my reading technique I guess

In my opinion ITG (In the Groove) songs are the best...
Unlike DDR they have oni modes in all songs. And onis are quite BS.
I just don't get how that guy on youtube could finish Pandemonium oni with AA.

Those actual DDR ones start to get boring because they're the same list of songs over and over again.
I've always wondered one thing though. Does those usb things really work?
I've seen a slot to insert them... but they don't look like they fit those regular usb plug-in thingies e___e;;

Yeah, back in the day I used to have a metal pad and everything, but I never got a good PS2-USB adapter so there was always mad lag & other step combination problems whenever I hooked up the mat to to PC.

Except for the Paranoias, Maxes, and a select few other songs, the DDR songs do get pretty old after a while.
I also play a lot of Pump it Up songs on stepmania...does that make me a traitor..?

i don't think its the ps-pc adapter
that happened with me too; it screwed up whenever the song had jumps/holds where you had to use opposite directions
i used to think my mat was messed up like that too, but if you press and hold start + select + up for 3 seconds, it modifies the pad so it can play properly

I remember watching a lot of people on ITG for a while cause one of my friend played it a lot of lose weight. one girl I saw was pro. She was playing a song...I can't remember what it was called but I think it had 'Pirates' in it? She didn't even move, just rolled her heals.

LOL, same thing happened to me! I was addicted then stopped playing and after a long time I tried playing it again and it's fun again!

I would play DDR instead of StepMania but my DDR pad is in storage and I can't get it out =/ Either way, StepMania is fun too so oh well!

Nothing really
but I love the music, so it's quite enjoyable anyway

But ITG oni mode is hard anyway, it's quite worth playing it on Stepmania (Mainly because I can't play it on the machine xD)
