This will sound really weird, but since my mom is a eco-friendly nut, she learned about this
When you're waiting for the water to heat up for a shower, get a plastic tub and collect the cold water. Then use that water to flush the toilet. It makes sense, and it does save a lot of water. It's just weird.

I take the bus occasionally, carpool when I can, recycle, buy products that say they are green friendly, keep my thermostat at a comfortable but relatively high temperature in summer and low in winter, save electricity and water in various ways, beg my parents for a better mileage car...

How about installing some solar panels? My university could probably cut their electricity bills in half, since they keep the lights on in the Libraries 24/7.

Yeah, there's tons. I do it on my own, for the most part, tell others to do it, and I believe others should probably go for it as well. But then again, not all of us can live like druids and be one with nature and have absolutely no carbon footprint whatsoever.

Recylcle bottles/paper etc, take public transport or walk, turn off appliances by the main switch, & we have a rainwater tank..i always turn off my computer (never leave it on standby)
