Do you consider yourself optimistic?
Why be unhappy when you can always choose to be happy? can you choose to always be happy?

Definitely not pessimistic, but not a full optimist. Though, I have a mostly positive attitude about anything smile.gif. Once you get in the mindset that thinking pessimistically is a waste of time, its hard to go back. Why worry about x when it hasnt happened? You can't tell the future and you never know what will happen.

I don't know.

Instead of wondering if the glass is half empty or half full, what does it mean if I just think it's the wrong sized glass?

Or, what if I think that the amount of liquid in the glass is sufficient enough to quench my thirst anyway?

I used to be very pessimistic, but recently I've been trying not to dwell on the negative. It's really a waste of time and effort, and drives people away.

Boy, I can only imagine how dramatic that optimism crashes from Saturday morning until Sunday evening. laugh.gif

I recently overcame a quasi-spiritual transformation and can now proudly call myself an optimist.

Interesting and congratulations. Care to share your story with the rest of us? What happened and how did it happen?

Well, I'll make a convoluted thread about that later

i am a very optimistic person that goes to say that i pretty much
believe that people can change for the better easily, or all people
are good-natured unless you threaten them.. stuffs like that..
i don't easily become down, but lately, my optimism has been
quite shaken by a few issues. i'm trying to get back on my feet. smile.gif

I'm too much of an optimist. My parents accuse me of thinking everything will always be alright. sad.gif

Perhaps I've seen too many happy movies?

I definitely am an optimist. I've seen the result of thinking and acting positively, and I can't deny it.

I tell my friends that all the time, no joke!
I shouldn't be as optimistic as I am, but there are times I'm pessimistic too. Things always happen whether you want them to or not, so why stress & cause yourself problems.
Maybe that's why my friends think I'm so "chill," as they put it. I don't let things bother me (externally anyway).

I'm definitely an optimist, too. I don't like when people are so pessimistic. They bring my vibe down, haha.

I think, avant-garde, that you CAN choose to be happy. If you choose to see SOLUTIONS to problems, rather than just problems, the world doesn't seem like such a daunting place.
