I'm just wondering if you soompiers have ever seen your bf cry?
And if you have does he push you away or let you stay and comfort him?
Mine broke down other day b/c he's an emotional drunk and started thinking about his mom (passed away when he was about 10) . He pushed me away and didn't want me there . He clearly said, I can cry in front of the boys but I can't in front of my girl.
Seriously, is it an ego thing or what?
I feel bad because I can't even comfort him when he's like that and he's seen me cry 9876543 times before!

My boyfriend gets upset/mad at me if I DON'T comfort him when he's feeling upset or angry. He wants me to throw myself at him when he's feeling like that. He would tell me to get out of his face and that he doesn't want to see me right now, but he never means that. Like when I would walk away, he'd grab me/hug me. I guess it just depends on the guy..some really don't like crying in front of their girls. MOST of them don't actually.
I don't know if it's just guys..because I'm like that too. I don't like crying in front of others, especially my boyfriend......

my boyfriend never tells me when he's upset...he likes to be alone mostly. When he's upset with me, he doesn't tell me either, although I can usually tell.

I think my significant other is a very sensitive and emotional man, its sort of funny when he cries. He cried when I looked after him whilst he was sick and he cried when on the day I was going to board the plane. I feel like the stronger one sometimes because I haven't yet cried in front of him because I just like seeing him smiling when he is happy I am happy

Boyfriend cried once after a drinking session, never told me why. He still hasn't told me. =P But I gave him hugs and comforted him as much as I could. We blame it on the drink, lol. :3

i think he thinks he's risking his dignity and masculinity by crying in front of a girl, especially his girlfriend.
just comfort him and tell him that it's ok for him to cry in front of you
hope everything goes well...
poor guy. his mom died and he has drinking problems
God bless!!!

it's one of the man-codes. _ lol, don't take it personally.
we don't try to make you feel useless. intentionally
we're just trying to save ourselves from being useless.
o-0' and..eh.. pride? ego? _ i guess it could be seen as that. O-o' but like...i'd edge it closer to "for you, i will not let you down." _ cos.. how many fathers would breakdown in front of their daughter? for example.

i have.
he had a really.. weird phase.
like, he felt depressed and confused about things.
and we went to the park, and he started to cry.
so i held him and i started to cry. T^T
i really don't care if he cries in front of me.
it tells me that he's comfortable enough with me to show me his weaker side.

I cried in front of my s/o, but I've never seen him cry. Usually when we text, I can tell if he's in a bad/upset mood, and he'll kind of stop replying; he told me once that he didn't pick up or return any of my calls one night because his dad scolded him for a stupid reason, and he cried himself to sleep ):
