I'm 4' 10" and am hoping I'll grow taller, but many say girls stop growing around 15/16. I haven't gotten my period yet, but have recently grown about 1-2" per year lately. Is this my growth spurt? Or is my growth spurt to come? My mom's 4' 11", my dad maybe 5' 8"?

You'll grow-spurt will stop around your 18th birthday.
But you will 'officially' / 'really' stop growing when you're around 25 i heard
from some family members. No worries you'll grow! I'm 157 cm and that's
5'2 or comething? Oh and i'm 15, turning 16 in two months. It's very awkward
to have 7th and 8th graders being taller than you TT_TT. But i kinda embraced
my height, and you could wear heels to get some extra inches. 8D
My mom and dad always told me that if i sleep enough that'll grow, it's kinda
ironic because i don't sleep alot.

Your growth spurt usually start at age 10-12, girls tends to stop growing at age 16-17, but for boys about age 18-20
I remember in junoir high, every girl was taller then me until i hit puberty and BAM, 5'10 by age 17. and the girls stayed the same..hahahah, who have the last laugh now midgets...

When I was still in high school, my friend and I were the same height, around 5'1, then she got her period late at 14 or 15. Now she's 5'6 or maybe even taller because I haven't seen her since.
If your mom is 4'11 and dad is 5'8, I'll assume that your height will be somewhere around 158-160 which is 5'2/5'3.
My mom is 5'3 and my dad is 5'7, I'm 5'2 1/2. I was a very pessimistic and insecure child and I had been on a yoyo diet since 12, my dad said it affected my hormones.

Be more positive, don't stress and relax, then let's see what happens.

I'm 16 y/o and I'm still growing biggrin.gif
Don't worry, I think you're gonna grow a few more inches when your period comes
I growed from 158 to 163 after my period hits
meanwhile you can do stretchings, i heard that it helps smile.gif
Its just another ordinary miracle today.

How old are you? If you don't have your period yet and is only 4'10, i'm assuming your under 14?

As soon as you get it, your growth spurt will start boosting up. I grew like 5cm a year even if I didn't had my period. Remember, as late your growth spurt comes, the more you grow as you get older.

Since you haven't gotten your period yet, you have a high change of growing a couple more inches.
My growth spurts were about 4 inches in a year.

I'm 19 and I've never had a growth spurt -- I grow very gradually. I think I'm still growing/my dad also says I am. I think I'm officially 5'5 or maybe a bit more now but was 5 ft. 3/4 inches 2 months ago. My sister's still growing, but she's 17. She's like, 5'6-5'7? She'll probably be 5'7 or taller when she's done growing sleep.gif
