I get cold sore! I always get them, especially during cold/flu or menstruation. In fact, I had a fever two nights ago and now I have two huge clusters of them each in different corners of my lips! The thing is I have a HUGE (importantly huge) party to attend in three days and I don't think these cold sores will go away that soon! I'll resort to popping them and putting makeup on the affect area if they don't go away because that's how important the party is!

Who else gets cold sores? Do you have any secret remedies to get rid of them FAST? Come and share the painful stories, so you won't think YOU are the only one who gets them but others have experienced the same pain as you too!

my husband gets cold sores. And honestly its not a pain per se (for his part), but just bothersome! I can never kiss him when he gets it sad.gif and we always have to be reallly careful (not sharing drinks and such). Anyways, NEVER pop your cold sores you're just spreading the virus (the liquid part of the blisters ARE the virus!) Unfortunately, once cold sore starts, you just have to wait until it goes away (usually a week or so) i'm sorry sad.gif. You can always try abreva and those over the counter medicine for cold sores to speed up the healing time. He seldom uses those as it didn't work for him at all (but its different for everyone).

Also during your cold sore-free days, take vitamin C everyday to boost up your immune system and just try to have a healthy lifestyle. (It's working quite well for my husband as he rarely gets them now smile.gif)

I do damn it. I get them especially during the winters, practically once
every month from october till january. Once got it during the summer while i was on
a holiday. Too bad there wasn't anything to make it go away quicker other than the usual medicine.
My dad said the same thing as mS_suga&spice, it's mostly about your immune system
people who get cold sores easily have a lower immune system or something like that.
When i have a cold sore i mostly don't leave the house, only for school, because i look
like an idiot with that thing on my mouth. But when i tell people:
"Don't mind my mouth... have a cold sore." they go like: "Oh yeah? Didn't see it. huh.gif"
And then i'm most of the time like: "Ugh that was stupid." Oh and lol
One time this guy from my class and i both got a cold sore the same time and the whole
class thought we had been kissing/making out, lol.

damn i hate it. i ALWAYS get one! i have one right now!
it's because you bite your gum/lip by accident at times and makes a cut. that's how cold sores are made.
my mom tells me it's because i sleep so late at night and i get tired...total false.
my friends tell me it's because of my period...i don't have my period now, i still have it XD

my friend got this medicine from her doctor. it's like a medicine mouthwash. it works well.
also my other friend gave me this glue like thing you smear on the cut. i forgot what it's called.
but no worries, it goes away rly fast if you don't think about it too much.
