A couple of weeks ago, my downloads were going at a pace of 90 - 100 KB/sec, but then after one day, it all started to go down to like 40-50 KB/ sec, i have no idea what happen, and i haven't done anything. The downloads are from videos. I don't have fancy internet, i just have normal DSL like most people i am guessing? is there a reason of how this could of happen? i can never get any downloads done.

Your network gear is overheating or overloaded. Go and unplug the modem and router for a few minutes then plug them back in. It should resync and work nicely again.

i have tried that before, and i don't think it worked as well. i think it was just little bit better. do you think there's another solution to this problem ?

Hmm no not really unless your stuff is slowly failing, especially the router. Sometimes the dsl company would slow your internet down when they decide it is "unstable" to give you more stability so you won't disconnect. If thats the case you need to call them to have them change it back.
