The only reason I can think of as to why that phone wouldn't be good on AT&T would be that it may not have the bands for 3G, so if you use internet, you wont be maximizing the speed. If you don't use internet, that's not an issue. Most unlocked phones, like the prada, will have this issue unless the cell phone company released a North American version of the phone with the 3G bands.

From what this cellphone shop owner guy told me (when I transferred to AT&T and had an LG Viewty)
He said that in some/most areas in the USA, AT&T works the best with quadband phones.
Typically AT&T works very very well with Sony Ericcson phones, since almost all Sony phones are quadband.
Since LG is usually on the market as Triband phones, AT&T + LG will work, but you will have crappy service.
And I mean very crappy service.
I remember I was trying to make a call with AT&T and my LG Viewty.
I was standing under a small tree and couldn't get reception LOL.
BUT
Lg Prada II (with the new qwerty board installment) is Quadband and I *think* it will work well with AT&T.
