Why is it that the disk space on my hard-drive (c-drive) keeps on increasing/decreasing on its own when i didn't even download or install anything?? At times, the disk space increases/decreases on its own over night, when i'm not on the computer. I mean not to a great degree, but I still am able to notice the difference. How do i make it stop? Is it a virus or hacking? I don't think it is, since i did multiple scans, and found nothing. I'm confused, need help please, thank you!

Assuming you run a Windows based system, your computer creates and deletes files on its own accord. If you ever right click the WINDOWS folder and click properties, you'll see the size of the folder increase rapidly. Then, restart your computer and the size will be lower. These files are virtual, meaning they do not necessarily "exist."
