Alot of my female friends are always complaining about how much their bf are jerks to them. Yet they continue to be with them even though their bf treats them badly, has arguments, etc. Why is that? Are women masochistic? It's like they know they are dating a jerk but still refuse to leave them for some reason. Is it looks? money? something about their personality? I don't get it. =S

You know, most guys don't act like jerks when girls first get with them. They're actually pretty sweet. It's only after the girl is hooked that they reveal their true self later. At that point, the girl is probably too attached to want to let go. She misses the person he once was and wants it all back.

Jerks tend to have something girls do want. Humor, an entertaining personality, etc. Most nice guys tend to be boring, unattractive or uninteresting.

I know a friend who dated a jerk, and she KNEW he was a jerk, but it wasn't until she gave him a second chance, and he did it again, that she ended the relationship. I guess it's because the jerk can also be sweet, but it's rare.

Some girls are delusional in the fact that they think they can 'change' and 'tame' a jerk. Some girls might even like to chase after those guys. They like the fact that these guys won't suck up to them. Jerks often display that aura of confidence and girls like that. That's not saying nice guys aren't confident but that confidence implies they're worth something.

In short, jerks are a challenge and present excitement and who doesn't love that?

i know a guy tht is a BIG FAT JERK. he's like the worst boyfriend ever.
first, they will be all sweet to you... flirting with you, making you feel important.
then, when they get the chance, and they're making flirt along with them, they'll ask you out.
you have the choice- yes or no.
most girls tend to say no, because of the sweet side they jerk showed, the fake side...
and since most jerks are hot and cute, they're used to going out with girls.

I think all guys become jerks once they get into a relationship. There's no going about it. Eventually, the guy/girl will say something the other person doesn't like and they'll be considered a 'jerk.'

exactly! i'm the type to like nice guys. a lot of the guys i first meet tend to be soo sweet and caring, etc. And then after, i find out they are either players or actually aren't caring at all. But then i've already fallen into their trap so even when i can clearly see that they're jerks, i still like them Guys are so evil
